Hello everyone glad to be in this forum. I used Falcon 3.0 with an old 364 computer back in the old days. Can’t say I was any good then, and now, the magnitude and complexity of BMS 4.32 makes me shudder in my boots. I am a complete blank slate, so I have no experience to judge how I should go about this Bilbo Baggin’s great adventure. I have Control Manager v 4.55a, a CH Fighter, Throttle and Pedals. What is fouling me up, is when I read recommendations or suggestions, such as the Title - Focus on mapping your setup as closely to real as possible, or, CH software is better than target or (something regarding DX binding) etc. I go into deer in the head lights and freeze.

Believe me I am not trying to “dis” anyone but statements make me understand how little I know.

What I am hoping is that I could get a profile to start me out " as closely to real life as possible and any suggestions as possible to start me out on a straight path. I have done research on profiles and I am finding that many of them were written in 2012-2013 and their files have been deleted.

If much of this is written in the Manual, pls tell me so. The one issue that sticks in my craw is to know what the necessary functions need to be captured

Thanks for “listening” to my plea and thanks in advance for help you provide me.

Look at the page this is posted at in the Joystick section under CH. Read the questions of the new users. There are the basic answers to your questions inside their threads. BMS is Falcon at its best, but to really learn it takes baby steps at first to take it all in. I also recommend finding someone you can talk to about how to do things in BMS, search the Squadrons and see if they take beginning noobs. You will be amazed how that learning curve can be whittled down in several minutes on the phone.

          Harvey,
Read, watch whatever you can find on youtube, talk to people and repeat everything over and over again. Don’t give up.
Try to find a squadron close to you or in your timezone.
Sometimes you’re stuck, so search the forums before asking, though don’t fear to ask if you can’t find it.
          Be clear in your questions.
          Good luck

I’m sorry I don’t have a CH profile for the Fighter Stick for BMS but I have done a little CH programming that can help. TARGET and CH are both powerful programming languages. I think both are sufficient to achieve anything you can dream of for BMS.
