Can not get BMS setup to download/run.

Hi Everybody……Have been running Falcon 4 Allied Force on XP for a long time now with no problems. I have just tried to download Falcon BMS 4.33 from your forum without success. I simply get a
read onlytype icon which then tells me “This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel.” This instruction being justgobbledegookto me, I go toFolder Optionsthen dont know what to do once there. Being rather elderly andAs thick as two short plankswhen it comes to PC matters, I justdont have a clue.Could some kind soul please advise me on this ? I would be most grateful.

Did you download the Falcon BMS 4.33 U1 - Full Installer linked in the Releases - Updates section of the Forum? I don’t know about the direct link, but the installer available via torrent should work as any other .exe file does…

Well, what exactly is the name of the file you’ve downloaded? It may be a compressed file that is easy enough to un-compress, or you might have downloaded the torrent tracker.

Falcon BMS 4.33 U1 Setup zip fileand extracted its contents. Now when I attempt to setup or start the game I repeatedly get the message “A licensed copy of Falcon 4.0 must be installed. Please install a licensed copy”. I cannot then proceed any further. This despite that I ALREADY HAVE a purchased licensed copy [boxed CD] installed, which runs fine. I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling this copy a couple of times, only to get the same problem each time. This has got me completely baffled !!!Thanks again for your effort !

It is Falcon 4.0 that you have installed correct? Allied Force will not satisfy the DRM for Falcon BMS’ installer.

ve beenflogging a dead horseright from the start, since my installed version of Falcon 4.0 IS INDEED the Falcon 4.0 Allied Force version. I am pleased that both yourself and TxMrb have put me in the picture on this. However, having looked at your links redownloading the required original version, it all seems a too drawn out and complicated procedure for my tired 84 year old grey matter. Ill probably [but reluctantly] now give ita miss`.Thank you all again for your efforts. This forum seems to me to have some extremely helpful members. Keep it up guys !

Well, if you decide you want to try, -Ice still has some copies of the Falcon collection to giveaway for free I believe.
