Thrustmaster Cougar Throttle Microstick spiking, any known mods?
-
Hey all,
Was wondering if anyone knew of a mod to replace the TM Cougar throttle microstick potentiometer? Mine is spiking slightly and would like to upgrade it to something more reliable.
Cheers

You have to replace the whole microstick as a unit, if you are going to replace it. But I had one that was misbehaving and I replaced the ANT ELEV pot (which I really needed to do because it was not only worn but also had next to no detent) and that settled it down a bit. If you look over the circuit in detail you can see where some of the grounds are shared…if I recall. Seems like one faulty pot anywhere on the circuit could cause a problem.

Thanks Stevie, I got a tip to increase the microsticks deadzone in the advanced control settings and this has fixed the problem, at least for the moment.

Fantastic! Sometimes the simple stuff does work.
