Mouselook stopped working
-
I lost the capability to use mouselook suddenly. I have been using facetracknoir for a while with mouselook but now I lost the ability to use the mouse to look around while I have facetracknoir paused. This has never happened before. I am using facetracknoir v2.0.
Thanks
P.S. I forgot to mention that, yes, I did press the right mouse button, I have read other posts about the matter, I have a HOTAS Cougar, read the manual (and read and re-read the corresponding pages), I checked the facetacknoir forums, but still I couldn’t figure it out.
Thanks again…

I’m bumping up this. I’m sorry if it’s not good etiquette to do so, but I’m really going crazy with it…

Once again trying to get mouselook working with racetrack, but I still can’t make it work. It used to work but doesn’t anymore. The thing is due to my MS I cannot use only racetrack since I have many involuntary movements. If someone can help me with this I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

Same problem…

Rename “NPClient.dll” and “NPClient64.dll” in ftnoir install directory, for example add underscore at the name’s beginning.

Ok, so I did this and lost use of facetracknoir. I’m trying to find a way to pause ftnoir and use mouselook and vice-versa while in the sim…
-
In other words. I can use either one or the other, but cannot pause one, use the other and return to the previous one…

You can reboot.
opentrack has an option to disable NPClient without renaming in freetrack protocol settings but there’s no such option in ftnoir.
You can also remove the path in registry, either manually or through a batch file.

Ok, but I used to change it in sim by pausing movement in ftnoir and moving the view with the right mouse button, then suddenly, I lost this option. How do I activate this again so I can do the same thing once again. I want to do it as I did before.

The obvious question to ask (just in case) since it hasn’t yet been mentioned is have you somehow managed to unselect mouse look in setup, controllers, advanced ? A new pilot/logbook will mean default mouse look off.

No. It’s selected, but thanks anyway…

Ok, so, I found a solution to the problem. I bought a gamepad (a la game console ). So, instead of using mouselook, I use the gamepad as a view controller. I assigned a button to stop the facetacknoir and the controller sticks to control the viewpoints. It works like a charm.
