BMS not responding before game even loads

played this game a few times and it runs great. however now launching the game at all brings up the menu upon which I hit play and the backsplash of BMS comes across the screen and then says no longer responding and crashes with no solution. any idea?

Sorry all the problem solved itself with a number of restarts and file validations.
