After installing U5 I started getting this error when my friend and I would try to hook up for multiplayer. When I get this error we are not able to use IVC to communicate in the game using TeamSpeak. When I don’t get the error everything works fine. Does anyong have a solution to this issue?

IVC client is not compatible with a TeamSpeak 3 server

Use the dedicated IVC Server to connect your IVC client (located in your… /bin/ivc folder)

Tried connecting with my friend today. He could not hook with me, but I could hook up to him. This was with the virus program off and on because at first I thought it was the virus program creating part of my problem. So how do you fix a one way hook up to make it a two way hook up? Originally I had a clean U3 install. I went to U5 and transferred my config file to it when the problem started. I un-installed U5 and went back to U3 thinking it worked ok like before, but nop. The issue still persist. I guess once it gets into your registry you are stuck. I would hate having to erase my hard drive to get it working right like before. We have been using IVC as far as I know for connecting.

I know this happened 2.5 years ago, but I’ve found when this happened to my buddy’s rig, I had to go into the Windows Playback Devices, <pick your=“” device=“” headphone=“”>properties. Then select the ADVANCED tab, then ensure both boxes are checked (Allow applications… and Give exclusive…), and then change the quality to CD quality. Then Apply. That seemed to work.</pick>
