Airbase - A new home?

Is it possible to move to an airbase closer to the field of operations, or even move to another base (perhaps changing squadron) during a campaign?

Yes using mission commander

Should work without mission commander as well.
Every time you start the game, when entering the campaign, you can choose your preferred squadron.
Just keep in mind that most other squadrons have different airplanes. -
You can change Squadron also in the campaign - in the OOB check the airbase -> squadron info - a new window comes up where you can “Join”.
Besides that I think I noticed in Korea (4.32 or 33) that a new airbase became available. But I don’t know whether the squadron was new too, or if it moved from one AB to another.

How to do that I don’t knowI didnt find the OOB/air forces/airbase “join” option but tried the “add package” one to an airbase and couldnt do it, as it informs not being able and bad timing

Yes. And no. In the campaign I am playing the action has moved from the west coast to the east coast and there are a lot of opportunities to make a difference, including 2 juicy cargo ships and a sub. I am flying right the way across the peninsula to prosecute these missions. Don’t mind joining a different squadron but thought it would be cool if a squadron could relocate. I wonder what would happen in real life.

again, you can relocate said squadron using mission commander.
