Next Project
-
O.K. so I am looking to my next project and I am looking for suggestions. I am working on a heli collective but that does not apply here. I was thinking of a inexpensive(around $150.00 USD) force sensing joystick. It would be a base that you just swap out your cougar handle to. I know this is general but is there something that would be usfull to this comunity. USB prewired panels, Guages, ect…
Thanks

Yeap force sense stick but ouch on the 150.
I have pistolero solution but often needs readjustment as everything is floating as I’ve put them. :lol:Sent from TapaTalk

Force sensing stick for cougar would be great. At that price a must.
-
If there was interest, it would be a whole new base complete with its own USB controller. No modification required to current base, just attach the handle and go.
-
Can’t wait for that!
-
:lol: Interest? You are joking m8…
You will have to hire guys to keep up with the pile of orders… specially if your mod will work and on Warthog sticks…
Have you seen pistolero’s solution? in this forum? just a hint.
-
… specially if your mod will work and on Warthog sticks…
I can only agree with that [emoji2]

No I have not, but I will search for it.
Thanks -
As you know there are at least 2 existing commercial offerings. If at that price the mod was on a par with the least spec of those (whichever that might be) then it would surely find homes for us impoverished simmers. Outside of the USA with delivery and import taxes maybe less so. Pound is worth less literally day by day now
Anyway don`t work for nickels and thanks for your offerings past and future. -
Hi Colbalt,
I was only aware of the FSSB. How did your hall kit work out. -
There is also the FCC3 by arend. Vipercore.nl is where you can find it.
-
I have had a few customers that have had issues with windows not reading the hall sensor. In doing some research into this it appears there is 2 boards for the cougar throttle, a 3.8 volt and 5 volt version. The 5 volt appears to be the newer one. While I have been unable to confirm it yet it looks like the older 3.8 volt board may be the problem.
Before anyone else orders these kits I would check to make sure you have the newer board.New board (AV8R Pic)
Newboard board Back
Old board not compatible (from scuba)
Since I am new at this if anyone has more information on this, please tell
Thanks

// Joke mode ONAvantar is an Avatar with an “n” and signs as AV… so no identity… He doesn’t know what he is talking about…
Speaking from all the members here we want Force Feedback sticks… OK?So when?
// Joke mode OFF.
I’m joking ofcourse. In case Avantar is offended I will erase my post.
// Joke mode ON
And make it with Bold letters… :lol: :twisted:
// Joke mode OFF. -
I think the force sensing is the first in priority, than icp…
-
Arty,
A joystick is next after the helicopter collective. Force Feedback or Force Sensing? I was talking about Force Sensing with strain gauges. Although I have been experimenting with various brushless motors and controllers for a force feedback base. -
Force sense…
May the Force force you to force it first. :lol:Sent from TapaTalk

O.K. since Arty says so.
Here is a quick 3d model of what it could look like. Material would be grey PVC to keep cost and machining time down. (same material as magnet holders) It would have its own 32 button USB HID controller built in just like my F22 Pro and TQS conversions.F22 Pro USB Conversion
