Can you Slave the HTS?

@Raider254:
I thought the Cursor Enable button on the throttle changed the modes of the HARM and I knew the pinky switch changed the submodes, my mistake on that.
Did you know IRL the F-16 can fire the HARM in LOR mode, Launch-off RWR.
Korean F-16’s do it because they have no HTS Pod. I know someone here on the forum said that the F-16 is not LOR capable but I read it in black and white. That’s the z-axis… And I can’t speak to Korean F-16s. I’m American.

You can read about it on Wikipedia if you read the wiki on the HARM and check what countries and airframes use it.

Wikipedia is very uncertain and sometimes gives wrong info.
It overestimates range of AMRAAM• AIM-120C-5: >105 km (>57 nmi)
HARM in LOR mode, Launch-off RWR.
AFAIK there was such option in F-4G wild weasel. AFAIK it was called SP mode (self protect). It allowed to launch HARM on highest priority threat detected by RWR.
I never heard about such feature in F-16. Hovever there are many variants of F-16 so who knows…because they have no HTS Pod
Lack of HTS does not means that launch on RWR target is only way.
HARM have option called HAS (Harm As Sensor) and it works in BMS, this is also how HARMs are targeted in F/A-18. And AFAIK in F-4G this mode was called TOO (Target Of Opportunity). -

Case in point - the AIM-120 can hit a target at that range. Its not a very useful thing, but it has done so before in trials.
You should probably note that due to at least one modelling issue, missile range at high altitude in BMS is lower than the missile range is for an equivalent real world weapon - and that missile range at low altitude is greater than the range for an equivalent real world weapon. For instance, the effects of altitude on thrust and therefore specific impulse are not modelled.

Ah gotcha, I use HAS mode to search for targets then use POS mode to fire. The HAS different FOVs have a range barrier from what I gathered so far. I’ve used it as I describe and is very accurate depending which mode I use.

I don’t know if 4.33.2, it depends, if not then only in the release that will come afterwards.
But first I need to code it, so for now it’s nowhere, actually
Implemented! Took me just a little less than 5 years

Say it’s not for U2 when it’s not a riot yet

Yes not for U2, it’s already too late

It was too late over a week ago! Code changes have to be very very special to bypass testing…
