How do you get the wheels up on takeoff.
-
I have G set for Handle Wheel Toggle
Shifit G for Handle Wheels up
Ctrl G for Handle Wheels DownOn takeoff, I start my climb at 180 mph, and careful that I don’t go above 300 mph.
as soon as I am off the ground I hit, G - nothing happens, I hit Shift G nothing happens.I tried to click on the handle with my mouse in the cockpit, and can’t get the handle to move up.
Is there a lock that I have to hit first?

In Setup>Controllers, Set G to Ckpit-Landing Gear.

Can’t find Ckpit-Landing Gear. Where approx. is it in the list?I only saw
Ckpit - Airbrakes open
Ckpit - Airbrakes close
Ckpit - Airbrakes Toggles
Ckpit - Betty Horn
Ckpit - NVG
Ckpit - VMS Inhibitor
Ckpit - Toggle Clickable Ctl ModeI did see LG Panel - Reset Alt Gear Extension…but that isn’t it…don’t even know what that does.

Right-click to raise, left-click to lower.

I bet on an inadvertent hit on the Alt Gear Handle (key or cockpit hotspot) check the reset button, and try again.

Falcon BMS rule #1 :
Dont modify keystroke unless you really know what your are doing.
I dont see any reasons except for puitbuilders to modify the keystroke.
Use the stick software to make the interface with bms keystroke

You don’t really need all three. Either you’re going to use the ‘Gear up’ +‘Gear down’ commands or you’re going to use the ‘toggle’ command (up and down, depending). Same for air brakes, either open + close, OR toggle.
I’m betting on DeeJay’s solution to solve your problem.

If you want to ensure that your directX keys map up correctly with the key file, you usually end up editing it.

Absolutly not
I have a cougar 100% direct X , fully like real and i have zero change in the keystroke

Im actually with you in the same boat Mav, but if you have multiple directX devices connected then you may (I did) end up needed to mess with the file to get it working. Im a boundary case, having from memory 5 or 6 such devices connected. Still, the point is that key file editing is not as arcane an art as has been implied, especially since Kolbe’s manual on such was distributed BY BMS in their install.

you are then categorized as a 'pit builder" in my previous comment
the main problem is that instead using the joystick software to correctly map the joystick with the BMS keytroke, people start to mess with the keystroke itself.
This is all wrong and leads to a LOT of problems for those people that dont understand the whole thing
