BMS still playable after original game uninstalled
-
BMS and original game are both installed and playable. If I uninstall the original game, would BMS become unplayable? Is it true that the original game is only needed for BMS installation?

Why not try it and find out? I suspect you could’ve gotten your answer in the time it took you to post this?

And then reinstall and leave garbage in the system… Then what is the forum for?

Cant believe this is being discussed since even if it didn`t it would violate the arrangement with Tommo.

Interesting comment, Cobalt. How so? I’m under the impression that the agreement was that anyone downloading BMS own Falcon 4. Well, we do, but once loaded…
I don’t plan to remove F4 myself, but could see where someone with limited disk space might consider it -

How limited, seriously? Wasn’t it like 120MB for Minimal, something like 300MB for Full install? An 8GB USB 3.0 pendrive costs £3.25, internal hard drives start at around £40 for 500GB. It’s not like hard drive space is an expensive commodity in today’s computers.

The original Falcon 4.0 installer offers different installations in terms of the overall folder size, the least space-consuming being approx. 160 MB, and it is still accepted by BMS as ‘valid’. I think it’s highly unlikely that with modern HD capacities anyone would even notice having extra 160 megs residing on their disk. Not that I should be criticising anyone’s tendency to economize on the hard disk space

Yes

No
You’re bordering a line that if crossed violates the EULA you agreed to and experiments along these lines may in fact jeopardize our whole project…
End of discussion, be smarter ppl. Don’t think only of you but the whole community
120-200Megs on a HD is nothing nowadays, live with it
