Canopy Master Warning

I keep getting a ‘CANOPY’ Master Warning on the right lower panel of the BMS Hornet when I cruise above FL260! What the Hell am I doing wrong, lol???

It’s an error at Ramp Start. At the beginning when setting the “Air Source” (I don’t know the proper Hornet name), it’s one click, not two. If you don’t do this at Ramp Start, I’m not sure if you can fix it in-flight by turning the knob back one click or not.
I know that in the Ramp video I did, I made (and propagated) this error. My apologies if that’s where you picked it up. I think I made a note/comment on the video that this error existed and the correction for it.

Seeing as all Systems are based on the F-16, A quick look at The Manual Gives us this explanation in terms of the Air Source Knob.
DUMP - cabin pressurization is terminated and the cockpit is vented to outside air pressure. This means cockpit pressure altitude will increase above 8000 feet MSL. The CABIN PRESS caution light will illuminate if cockpit pressure altitude exceeds 27000 feet. All other ECS functions such as external fuel tank pressurization are unaffected
As Agave has said, you’ve more than likely clicked the Air Source Knob twice, which would put you in DUMP Setting.
It Happens, It can be fixed easily in flight by a right click.
And Agave is correct, his video indeed puts the Air Source in DUMP. But other than that it’s a real good tool for learning the Ramp Start of a Hornet. I should know, I learned from it!

The Hornet/Rhino do things a bit differently IRL and it isn’t a single switch. From memory…on the ECS panel set Bleed Air to NORM, Cabin Press to NORM, and ECS Mode to AUTO/MAN depending on the circumstances.
And to ensure there is no confusion, none of those are simulated in BMS at the moment.

Thank you for your prompt replies, being an aviator myself, I found this very frustrating, thank you again.

A bit of the confusion may be coming from the fact that while in the Hornet 'pit, 2 clicks on the bleed knob is the labelled “normal” position, you only do one click(to the 9 o’clock position)

Yes, that is exactly where I made the error. I knew for the F-16 pit …. “Air Source Norm” … only it’s not “norm” in the F/A-18.
