I was working on my Helios profile again and I noticed the my HMCS controls would go UP (brighter) but it would not go down (dimmer) or off. After a bit of checking, I found out that SimHmsSymWheelUp is CTRL+F5 and SimHmsOn is CTRL+F6. SimHmsSymWheelDn is ALT+F5 and SimHmsOff is ALT+F6. Basically, the ALT commands don’t work. I knew that Helios didn’t seem to like some keys; it would not send a key combo for certain keys, but the sim would not respond to ALT+F5 and ALT+F6 even when I was already using the keyboard!

Is this just an isolated problem on my own system? Or have others had this problem as well? I’m going to have to go through my callback list now to make sure everything mapped is working.

Guess you are using a (maybe) modified pitbuilders key file, no?

Just did a quick test and all the keystrokes mentioned above are working as intended here.

The only thing I could think of is that you assigned another set of functions to Alt F5/F6 by accident.
In this case it might happen that the HMCS functions are ignored while the second set is invoked.
The best advice I have for now is to import your key file to the key file editor and check for any issues.

My keystrokes file works I think….but “L” (zoom view) command does not work. I dont get it. No chance even if I map it directly to joystick…

I have installed U2 week ago (we had LAN party)

            Setup - Controllers - Advanced
Verify Field Of View is set to keyboard.

I have indeed loaded it on your Excel file, Kolbe. 3rd party conflict is only with TIR and FRAPS along the F8-F12 stuff.

Thanks Kolbe, but my “field of view” is set to “keyboard” ….:(

Is there no possibility that another program is using that key command?
In my case, Alt+C was assigned to a “ASRock HDMI switch” program.
I was not able to display FPS for it.
