WDP, loading a mission.
-
Hello Forum.
I’ve read the manual, version 2.0
I’ve watched the movies on the WDP web site and trawled the forum,
So, I have RTFM, really!I’ve loaded the WDP (3.7.3 build 70) and am embarrassed to say that I can’t find the missions.
Click on DTC.
Having clicked on " Open Mission.ini file" the path opens on “Weapons Delivery Planner” and the menu below shows Charts……Database…Etc. None of them show any missions, TE, Saved or otherwise. What am I missing? please!
Also, in the “Before we begin” section of the version 2.0 manual there is reference to a blue M icon on the right side of the mission screen, I can’t see it. Has it been out dated by an up date?
Thanks
Bayonet.

Try clicking on open mission and going to your BMS directory/sim. Sound like you’ve got a directory problem

Hello Pooky
Thanks for your help. I did what you suggested and have progressed to the point where I can select a mission from the “save” tab. I press “open”……TE Mission Data / Data Loaded is green.
I then go to the Data card screen, but there is no “mission” button on the top left above “Reload WX”.
The data card shows the flight map at bottom right and the STPT tab shows the steer points…but no "mission " button. Can you push me on a little further please.
Very much appreciated!
Bayonet.

Open “File” on the top bar and then select “Open Mission”. Point it to the Campaign Save folder in your F4 BMS directory such as e.g. C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Campaign\Save and then select any saved mission files with .tac as the file type. If you copy all of the training missions, change the .trn file type to .tac and put them in the Campaign Save folder, these will also be available to view with WDP.
Once you select and open a .tac file, another window will pop up with “Package”. Select the “Expand All” button and then choose which flight you want from the Package drop down menu. Another page will pop up asking: “Did you save the DTC for THIS flight in BMS?” If you haven’t already loaded the DTC ingame, select “No” and WDP will display a map with the mission steer points. The data card will automatically fill all of the details of your selected flight.
I have the BMS Pilot Model mod installed in BMS 4.33U1 so when I press “Upd Kneeboard” the data cards are updated on the kneeboards in the cockpit for that particular mission. Saves a lot of printing and is great to have all that info available by just glancing down at your kneeboards when flying.
