      Hi Guys,

I’ve previously installed the legs mod on both the F-16CM 52 and the F-16D 52 with no problem in 4.33 u2.

I went to install the pilot mod on the F-16D 52 the other day and it completely screwed up my gauges. I followed the steps below which worked for me previously.

How can I get my aircraft back to working order? I’ve also attached a screenshot of the problem.

      Cheers!

Same steps - yes, but with a different number. Go to your BMS 4.33 folder, then Data, Art, ckptart. Once in the ckptart folder scroll through and pick which model you want to put the pilot legs in. Open the folder you choose (i.e. F-16C-52+) Click on 3dckpit.dat file. When it opens scroll down until you see this: ( // the LOD models to use). The second line should be: cockpitmodel2. Remember the number(s) to the right of this line. The number(s) is what you wil put in the LOD editor. Now open LOD editor and follow these steps:

Replacing legs and kneeboards in different theaters:
      • Next to “Normal” put in the new cockpitmodel2 #
      • Click Normal
      • Click 1 under Edit
      • Click Action
      • Click Append /Replace Texture
      • Select your 8018.dds file
      • Click Action again
      • Click Append /Replace Texture
      • Select your 8019.dds file
      • Click Action again
      • Click Replace Model
      • Then select your “onlylegs.LOD file
      • To confirm it worked: Click “Go To”
      • Click CT Record
      • Click 3-D Viewer to check that they were installed correctly.

I am having the same problem after I installed a JanHas f16cm-52 mod. Have you found out how to fix it?

Do you have any back-up files?

Now it would be the moment to grab them and compare them with the modded ones and then you can tell if they’re the same or different

I checked 8001-8013. Is that them? It started happening after I installed JanHas F16CM-52. I will try to put the vanilla back in but I think it has more to do with a LOD I messed up.

              I don’t know, but it’s possible

It’s not about the LOD, the switches are still there, it’s more about the textures

Do you not have any back-up files?

I tried all my backups. I tried The original vanilla DDS files, but they changed nothing. I even tried my last stable backup with no joy. I am focusing on 8001.dds-8013.dds. Are those the correct ones?

The only A/C that is bad is JanHas F16CM-52. I either have the dds numbers wrong or it is LOD or DAT file.

I just installed this but it works on block 50 not 52. I think I may try to install it to JanHas 52. I’m in a little over my head but I am learning. If an expert can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.

                  About .dds, I don’t know, it’s possible

You could check the .DAT file if it’s using the correct textures, because that’s the only thing i can imagine

Thanks Razo for helping me out. I figured it out.

I just installed https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?15891-CCIP-Cockpit-Mod&highlight=ccip for the block 50 and it looks great.

What I did was open up the DAT file for the CM-52 and change cockpit 1-5 to match the LOD that the CCIP Mod had me enter into the block 50.

From the little I know about LOD and DAT files is that my DAT file was pointing to a LOD that did not match the parent DDS. ???

The important part is that I fixed it by installing the CCIP Mod and it looks great.

I now have JanHas’s awesome CM-52 with the CCIP cockpit. I am excited to get in the pit!

Now I am going to learn how to install the pilot model.
