Using the warthog stick and cougar throttle

Hey guys, I was thinking about buying the Thrustmaster warthog-stick because mine (cougar-stick) has too much play.
But the problem is: the throttle of the cougar hasn’t a USB-connection.
So how do I solve this ?

Or as an option to buying a WHog stick and TUSBA-R2, get a force mod and turn your Cougar into a FBW stick without any gimbals or pots. Two force mods to choose from:

Or you can go with my setup…. Just leave the Cougar connected and put it somewhere behind your desk

I did that and works very good!Page 2 does not load ? Seems a lot of interesting electronic solutions for falcon there.

Sorry I quoted wrong post (deleted now). Why would you use a usb to vga adaptor for joystick connection ? BTW I have read gameport to usb devices not always successful.

I don’t think that adapter would work. Cougar TQS never worked on his own. It has VGA connection but that doesn’t mean it is a screen. You need something to read the potentiometers and buttons/switches.

Just leaving the stick connected and also use the warthog-stick.Yes, this does work (and allows you to still use Foxy…and/or TARGET?) - I think you also need to remove the stick grip from the Cougar if I recall…I used to do this before I got my TUSBA R2. Still highly recommend the TUSBA!

OK, so I enabled the TUSBA to hold down a keystroke when in the center position of a three position switch. It’s supposed to turn on (I believe) buttons 1,6 and 9. However when I enabled it 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 were all on. This in turn caused the throttle to spike and I’m not sure if that is supposed to be a detent as well for Idle and AB. I’ve read the manual on realsim and I’m pretty sure only 1,6,9 are supposed to be on but the manual references the R1…… I have the R2. Has anyone experienced this?

After getting the right manual the TUSBA still does not work properly. Buttons 6 and 9 are not always on. Any ideas?
