Sustained G Breathing Mod
-
Thank you very much, sir. This worked.
Do not know what the reason was, because normally my GNU/Linux distribution can handle RAR files…Now, I’m really excited!
Thanks and
regards
Earlybite -
I’ve updated the mod on the front page.
Added lots of new sounds.
This time with even more anxiety for Arty.
And an “authentic” version for those who didn’t enjoy the anxiety.
The video reflects the new versions. -
Also, if you don’t like anything I make and you want something different, I’ve added DCS breathing sounds. They’re more subtle. Sometimes I use them too.
-
Nice work!

The thing is most of us fly with our intercom turned super low so we don’t have to hear ourselves. So, essentially, it’s unrealistic like this.
Why would you tune intercom down?
-
So, essentially, it’s unrealistic like this.
Unrealistic? … could you tell us more about it?
-
In real life, you’d better have an accurate voice tone… and rather higher than lower. Missing or misunderstanding one digit could be disaster involving people killed…
“East of the bridge? No, West of the bridge !” Some will understand that sentence… Real life issues with TACP might happen quickly… Result would be a dramatic disaster. It’s not the fault of BMS if people use unsecure procedures.

Fox3TwoShip is maybe saying that they set the INTERCOM vol to a low lever to reduce the mask feedback but set COMs and RWR higher close to max vol to compensate (this is somehow what I do in the sim) …
But I would like to know if (?) by saying unrealistic he means that equilibrium of level is not good by default?
-
if you lower intercom you will loose a lot of pit warning, caution, warning, betty, rwr, …
i’d advise not to do that -

iy you loxwer intercom you will loose a lot of pit warning, caution, warning, betty, rwr, …
i’d advise not to do thatRWR and MSL can be boosted like for COMs … but yes, reducing INTERCOM will reduce Betty and Tones.
I do reduce it (by two or three notches once I am in pit). But of course, not that much, I can still correctly hear Betty, alarms and tones! …Anyway you know, whatever the volume knob, they are not made to be set at 100% by default in the pit … one must find the right (best personal) settings.

Yep Dj, i know, My reaction was triggered because of this (in bold):
The thing is most of us fly with our intercom turned super lowso we don’t have to hear ourselves.
Who is most of us? and why super low.
Most of you should use the intercom as DJ suggested not super low -
@Red:
Who is most of us?
Well considering he’s a real world USAF Viper pilot I would venture to guess that he is referring to himself and the other pilots in his squadron. Plus probably every other Viper pilot because I bet little habits like those are picked up during the B Course.
Just a guess though.
-
ha, he meant in real life ….
Well Intercom is a bit different in BMS from reallife, so special SOP applies to BMS -

Quick. Time for “The Save” –>
“he meant in real life…”
Er… um…

When a “good save” goes horribly wrong.

The intercom in BMS must be different because it should not affect the BB tones. RWR has its own volume that you only want to crank up when you FENCE IN and turn down when you FENCE OUT. MSL TONE is separate as well. I find it to be comfortable at a 9 o’clock setting with RWR set to about the 3 o’clock setting
The intercom volume is only for you and your back seater, the crew chief when they’re plugged in, and the boom operator when tanking. You have to stay in HOT MIC so your breathing is recorded on tapes but I don’t want to hear myself breathe in the jet. It drains your SA when trying to listen to picture calls, low downs, etc.
If you leave it in HOT MIC and volume low you will get get your tapes to record your breathing but you won’t hear it.
-
yep we know that. But in BMS it is VERY different
Since there is no backseater or crew chief to talk to, it has different purposes -

To extend it in my way…
If we got stick to that much realism we shouldn’t have sims.Sent from TapaTalk
