EMF Interactive map - Libya added - 4.34.2 update
Phase one of EMF progresses nicely and work on the approach charts has started a few weeks ago.
I personnaly believe that EMF will be the best user designed terrain for BMS. The project is very ambitious and I was stunned to see their progress and their achievement so far.
Having realized that I decided to offer full navigation package for EMF up to par with what has been done for BMS Korea.
. I will thus make approach charts for the whole EMF terrain, starting with Greece and moving to Turkey, Italy and Cyprus for the phase one.
The charts will be created from scratch, and although they will be based on the real charts, only BMS relevant information will be displayed.
Just like the Korea charts I have been doing and maintaining for the past 15 years.
. EMF will also benefit from the same interactive map as Korea. That web based application allows pilots to have their navigation information from a tablet of phone or second computer while they fly.
That Interactive map is already WIP and available online, although it is the beginning only and only Larissa and Nea Anchialos and a few airstrips around are implemented at this time.
. Finally EMF will have it’s own AIP that I will create when I have all the elements finished for phase 1. That will list all the navaids, airbase information, danger/restricted/prohibited and exercices areas,…
The structure will be approximately the same as the KAIP I published for Korea a while back.
Anyway, here’s the link to the (WIP) EMF interactive map. I know it’s not released yet - and I have no idea when it will be so don’t ask
Edited: Links removed - Not relevant and apparently spam
Remember, click on Larisa and Nea Anchialos airbase icon at this time.
Just check the accuracy of those airbases !! they are mainly of unique airbases in EMF.
my hat goes off to the EMF team!
I’ll update this thread as I progress with the chart work.

Holy hell, is the EMF map that big??
Excellent job Red Dog, and these are great news about EMF too. I’m really looking forward to this theater - it looks amazing!
Holy hell, is the EMF map that big??
Yeap. from their forums:
thanks Echo !! I can’t wait myself
Skiathos, Stefanovikio & Lamia charts active on the map
Awesome as always
Awesome, I always use the Korea interactive map so this great. Thanks Red Dog.
Just hope I’m not retired by the time the first EMF is released
Great stuff hopefully by the time it’s released the derive of the continents won’t have made the map obsolete
wow this is great…
…smoke on the horizon… :woohoo:
Great stuff. Hats of to all involved in this project…
Great Job. Can’t wait!
Sure this means that the release is near… I hope that they will not delay it waiting for RedDog to finish this… As I see it many many airports in EMF are new to Falcon so it will need allot of work…
Well the good thing now is that you can blame me for any delay
btw, if I do the charts, that means the airbase groundwork is done, otherwise I would loose my time :nosep:
Yeap I agree all to blame Red Dog for the EMF release delay… lol
well it’s obvious that they have all the airbase groundwork done… I wonder how they let u (obviously cause u r doing them and us a huge favor) post something like that…
thanx anyway that has our hopes high once more for the mother of all theaters…
Are u done yet?
Reddog would never post something without having the permission from the EMF team. You can be sure of that Arty.
Oh i’m sure of it. What i meant EMF never stated publicly any development status, nor any yearly release plan, nor anything else, nor let anyone post pics or whatever.
So allowing RedDog to do so is a leap forward.
Thanks to my squadmate Zipgun, all airstrips charts in Greece are now implemented on the map.
Thanks a million Tom
Agrinio, Megara, Timpaki, Kastoria between others are aligned wrong vs their real magnetic heading variation on their airport diagrams. It may be a matter of simply size/zoom/details but wouldn’t be better to have the correct alignment even if this means smaller graphics?
As I said before, it’s still WIP I am aware there are still some différences in the charts and I am working on it
It’s not because I have the airstrip chart done that the stuff is final, it still may change.
In the meantime Andravida set is ready and implemented in the interactive map.
