Recovering an ACMI that failed to compile

FYI,
If you are compiling an ACMI and it fails, the server/BMS crashes, you alt-tab, etc… your ACMI is not lost.
BMS records the raw data into a temporary container called an .FLT file, then compiles it to .VHS after the mission. If your compiling failed, go to your ACMI folder and the .FLT will be there.
Simply load up another BMS session with that .FLT present, pop into the 3d for a moment (don’t record anything, you will probably destroy your .FLT) then end mission and BMS will compile the lost ACMI.
Also useful if you don’t feel like compiling a huge ACMI for 20 minutes, just Ctrl+Alt+Del and save the .FLT file for later. (you would lose your mission results though)
Excuse me if it’s common knowledge, buuut no one I fly with knew about this, so perhaps it will be helpful.

Awesome. Yeah I discovered this after a recent Falcon Online server crash disrupted an ACMI that I was dying to see. I thought, surely the data is still there somewhere. Turns out it couldn’t be simpler.

I wish this could be a toggle + a menu option. Imagine a setting where it never converts the flt to vhs, then a menu item under ‘ACMI’ to compile a particular file when requested.
