Tanker is killing me

So there I was…
Trying to hook up with the F18…

Tanker is cruising along at quite a hefty little clip (like 410)
Whatever…

Comes out of a turn, and just drops like 100 kts without warning.

This has happened to me multiple times, the tanker just “stops” on a dime and there I go, shooting out front of it…

Oh and getting the hornet where it belongs and to stay there is so painful,
that getting on boom with the viper is like easy peasy afterwards

I had a similar problem too.

I’ve had similar issues but the speed has always said 300kts on the FCR and the external status bar.

Without the basket bouncing around, Id wager that BMS bug refueling is quite a bit easier than IRL bug refueling…

Yet another reason boom refueling is my preference.

i’ll admit to fox four out of frustration on more than one occasion…

for the record, this occurred to me in a single ship flight, TE, not online, flight both f18c and f18e

the tanker gets really weird in shifting wind bands

if you cross the wind band into an area of very high or very opposed winds the tanker will fly all over the place (or you will) (or both)

set a deadzone and put the tankers there and it will be okay

That makes sense. I’d forgotten that when it happened to me, the clouds and winds were updating
