I’m trying to use CBU’s but the clusters don’t seem to spread and they end up hitting one vehicle only. i have tried both CCIP and CCRP modes. what do i need to do?

what is you Burst Altitude set to? By default I think its set to 500. Try changing them between 1500-3000 depending on what type of CBU you are using. Also what CBU are you using and for what type of target? this makes a big difference as well.

          Check release altitude
          Check “Burst Altitude” setting
          Check SuperPak 3 Manual (p.72)

Depends on fuze type … but (IIRC) in BMS, it is always MSL. (Not sure … if not, it is AGL. Just try.)

iirc all the common cbu fuses had radar altimeter in falcon too and they would burst according to agl not asl.

For BMS, yes, that is correct. No idea if that’s right for the actual jet, though.

I feel it would be a little counterintuitive if it was MSL. I mean imagine going after TOO in mountainous terrain.

if you have a column, you want to put your ripple distance at about 450 feet, and your burst altitude at about 1200 for maximum effect on target.

I totally read this topic as CPU usage.

I got problem but only with rockeyes. Other cluster munitions seems to works fine but these just hit ground without triggering in Jugoslavia mountains with ad:2 and ba:2800. Target was at 3500 ft above sea level and I dropped those from 14000ft.
With other clusters I can set ba to 500ft and those still explode no matter of target height from sea.
