Arty,Need your help with your Particle System

Ok, I had 4.33 1 installed right after i built this rig. Had your all in one P System installed and it worked like a charm.

I then had to do a reinstall because i forgot to back up my folders. I just now realized i didnt have your P. System installed on my reinstall.

I just tried to install it again and got this message

Failed to apply patch All Arty Particle System Mods. – File mismatch. C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\data\terrdata\particlesys.ini does not match C:\Users\Tass\AppData\Local\Temp\f4pF5B5.tmp\arty\psoriginal\particlesys.ini.orig or C:\Users\Tass\AppData\Local\Temp\f4pF5B5.tmp\arty\psalleffects\particlesys.ini.new.

Any clue what this means?

Yes your current Particle system file is altered.
Delete particlesys.ini file.
Copy particlesys.ini.orig to the Particle system folder and rename to particlesys.ini

Then it should be fine.

Dont have a P sysyem folder, nor is there an ini file…Nor psystem.original wtf

I only see P System Config file

Any way i can get a copy of your files? See if that works

In the above path u will find the ini.

From file Explorer search for particlesys.ini.orig

I know were its supposed to be…they arent there, only particlesys,config,and the search comes up empty, lol how am i seeing explotions and tracers if i dont have these files

The filename was wrongly typed by me. Sorry.

I edited previous posts.

Just have Falcon closed.
Delete particlesys.ini
Load falcon. The code automatically generates particlesys.ini.
Close falcon run my mod.

Thats just it Arty, there is no ini or particalesys folder to delete…i only have particalesys.config in the terradata folder thats it

If there is no particlesys.ini run falcon.
If you close falcon it must be generated.

You should be able to install 4.33 on any fixed drive.

Ty Cougar….just tried that…started game and still no pariticalesys.ini was generated

Do you have a backed up copy of your original you could e-mail me?

No need m8. As you run my mod it should create a folder iirc inside user folder
C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\User\Patches
or
C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\User\

where inside resides the files of the patch.

In there must be the files
particlesys.ini.orig
and
particlesys.ini.new

particlesys.ini.orig is the falcon default particle ini file.
particlesys.ini.new is the moded one by me.

each time you enable disable the mod it just changes those files and some dds files.

Ok just found those folders in the users patch…. only original is in there not the particalsys.new. why my searches came up blank…i’ll never know

What should i do now… Strike that…found the new one…its in the alleffects folder

well copy particlesys.ini.orig

to

C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Terrdata

rename it to

particlesys.ini

you are ready.
