      Hi,

the last two TE´s I´ve an issue with taxiing, because I do not get the permission!
My flight (e.g.) has t/o at 16:20, I ask at 16:15, “Position hold”, at 16:16, “Position hold”, at 16:17, “Position hold”.
At 16:18 I get “You are clear to t/o.”…and meanwhile is a following flight already waiting on the taxi way.
This happens in a previous TE (Chongju) and a next completly new (Seosan) and all the time I make a ramp start.

      Regards

“Position and hold” do not mean “Hold position”.

In BMS it does. There’s no voice file for “hold position” so they use the other one. There’s no position and hold ops anywhere in BMS.

Ok, after that is cleared now, I´ve made another TE, also Seosan.
The two previous TE´s are heavy load TE´s, means ~12 - 15 flights (starts and landings) while my ramp start, but now I made a little one with only three flights (all starts) and there it goes…I got a “Callsign, taxi xxx.”.

So, to me solved, but not really, isn´t it?

Are you 100% sure about it? In any cases? If yes, I will provid a new frag to fix this in the next version.

                this one is confusing.

if the position and hold means stay put and don’t move, then BMS atc should issue a clear to taxi when the time comes (i do as well heavy traffic TE and we do get the position and hold command often when there’s a lot of AI traffic.)
but that clearance to taxi never come in BMS and the next clearance we receive after the position and hold is the cleared for take off.
If i’m in the blast walls and get the position and hold and stay put in the blast wall, then there is a problem in the sequence because i ca n’t be cleared for take off from the blast walls….

definitely room for improvement on that one

I’ve never seen “line up and wait” (same thing as position and hold) used in BMS or Falcon or possibly any flight sim (FSX?).

If I ask for taxi permission too early ATC says to me “position and hold (stay put for now)” and later will give me movement clearance either automatically or on request when it’s my turn to roll. You might have to specifically ask again for taxi clearance, I don’t recall. That happened in post #1 just much later than expected.

I think being cleared to takeoff from the chocks (which I believe is technically possible in reality, I have been cleared to takeoff well before I get to the runway edge) is from not following up when told to wait by asking again later.
