Calibration/Firmware
-
Hey all,
Got my Cougar rebuilt last night and installed the drivers into my W10 x64 machine. Went smoothly, but the calibration is all over the place. The SSC is fine (apart from the play I still can’t get rid of) but the axis on the TQS are aweful. The ANT (brand new pot) is not centering - when it’s at the centre detent, it reads about 65% in the Windows controller screen. Also the extremes aren’t doing anything either. When the wheel gets to about 85% of physical travel, it’s showing 100% in the software. Going through manual calibration hasn’t resolved this. The same issue occurs on the RNG and throttle axis. I have a couple of spare, unuses pots I could try.I haven’t done anything with the HOTAS in about 5 years or more, so should I try Foxy and see if there’s any firmware for it?
Are people using Foxy or Target? What’s recommended for BMS, given that from memory, all of the mappings are Dx switches, rather than key bindings?
Thanks!

Keep in mind that the ant elev and man range pots have dead zones at either end of their travel if you hit these during manual calibration weirdness happens occasionaly
better to look at the raw numbers to keep them in their “live” range
I use DuncDX cougar profile loaded to the hotas using Foxy never had a problem but I am on Win 7 x64Dave
