Falcon Lounge Project

Hello Fellow pilots!

Following the Stream initiative on twitch and discord channel, we decided to go further and launch a website!

The Falcon Lounge

On top of being a website linked to the discord channel we created, we also want to offer the community a hub where they can find help for training on the F-16.
We currently are recruiting / training instructors so they can help motivated pilots to complete their Falcon BMS experience.

Of course, this training comes with a “price”: Commitment and Sharing back this knowledge to new pilots (i.e. becoming instructor yourself)…

Our goal was to remain outside of any squadron or wing so it could be open to everyone.

Is this project ambitious ? Yes!
Will it work? I hope so!

But one thing I can tell is that, I have been given a lot by this community and I thought I could give back to it with this project.

Very complex thing to get airborne. As Blu3wolf wrote about the TCM project, we were four that worked really hard to make something good and solid, but in the end, it became too much work along side our real life jobs, own virtual units etc. I hope your project will succeed I really do. If you need any input or ideas I will gladly give you some insights on the massive task you are moving yourself into. Just write me a PM.

They didn’t want to be tied to a squadron or wing, but maybe aside from strict membership rules, it sounds like a VFW.

The falcon lounge is three part. 1 is a group that is aiming to fly at least once a month multiplayer flight. 2 as a place where members can easily organize flights between themselves. And 3 a source of knowledge and education to those who want it.

We are not a VFW because we do not want to require the kind of VFW commitments and restrictions.

The school piece is mearly a way to give back to the community and those who go through it have them give back to the community.

It reminds me of the air force weapons school at Nellis. Where one pilot goes to school, then takes that knowledge and teaches their squad.

We welcome all to join, even VFWs, as I think it would be fun to have wings coordinate missions between different wings, or if they have open slots be able to fill those spots with willing pilots.

Me ripper are already part of a wing (not the same). Falcon Lounge channel is for everyone who has an interest on Falcon BMS…

This is not a membership rule but a training enrollment requirement. People are not tied to the “Falcon Lounge” once they get their training, we just ask them to participate in the life of the “Academy” in training / teaching new comers.

The monthly flight do have a requirement though since we need people to have a minimum level to join and enjoy a coop flight… No need for sarcasm…

Undigging that post to tell that I eventually had the Academy part revamped so people could focus on learning through the portal at their own pace.

It is now more oriented into the self learning with instructor flights checkpoints. Hope this new format will give people a ground to start with and begin their falcon journey!
