i use f4browse and this is how i add new feature

-f4browse
-CLASS TABLE - seek CLASS-FEATURE-Type you need ( office runway shop bridge … ) note CT ( No )
right click - add copy - sign new CT - update
-FEATURES - seek CT you make a copy in CLASS TABLE - right click - Add Copy - insert new CT - insert new name
seek new CT - note “No” - double click on new CT - click CT Recd - on the “square” at right of “File Offset” insert new “No”
-CLASS TABLE - seek old and new CT ( No ) and control if all is right
-LODeditor
seek your new features
-click Setup Wizard - Append/Select a Parent - note new parent
LOD 1 - select
LoRez LOD - select-select -
Update parent record
close
on your new feature “Parents” window insert new parent(s)
-Normal-edit-edit lod
-shader
-Action-calculate model normal
save
save as ( save the lod in desktop )
exit and reopen LODeditor - replace yor lod with the one saved in desktop ( click “Edit Mode” once to “replace mode” )
“edit” your LOD - calculate model normal - save

try your new feature in BMS EDITOR

To get it right. You add another airbase so it’s two airbases? or you replace the old? So it’s one altered airbase?

U might want to look at tacan stations file.
I believe u can set it and from monsters tool.
The old reference points to the old ct so now no airport to land thus says to divert to alternative.

Hi there.
Well do you have change the CampID of the new airbase? If yes, THEN you must update in the “stations+ils.dat” file that specific number that must be a unique one for your specific airbase!
CT/OCD numbers does not affect that file that used for ATC calls. Only the CampID’s used there!
If you don’t have change the CampID of the new airbase, but you keep the previous one airbase, then you have 2 objectives that share the same CampID, this is wrong! Simply change the CampID of one airbase and make the needed updates to the “stations+ils.dat” file.

So with Terrain Editor, if you sort by CampID’s, is the 764 used only 1 time?
From the data, the ILS is wrong. Make it as 11070 for example, but not with 4 digits!
If I remember correct, NameOffset number is the number that used from the files (theater name).idx/wch that holds the objectives names, in your case the airport name.

I do not have two airbases. I use the existing airbase “Chongju Airbase”. I only changed the OCD of “Chongju Airbase”, with a copy of the existing 23_05_2_Rvr. Or haven´t I understood correct, what you are meaning?

We have (so you will) two types of objectives…
One are these from TACEdit / MissionCommander (e.g. Chongju Airbase).
The others are these from Editor (e.g. 23_05_2_Rvr).
And e.g. 23_05_2_Rvr is connected with Chongju Airbase via OCD / CT…
What I´ve done is making a copy with CT from 23_05_2_Rvr and renaming it to Chongju AB and placing that CT (+100) as OCD into Chongju Airbase. And this is working.

But I may not replace a feature in Chongju AB. This raises this issue.

Well my friend, this is above my small specific knowledge.
But as you said and since you have only 1 Chongju Airbase, then the issue don’t came from the file “stations+ils.dat”. Just correct the ILS frequency…

I´m thinking about what happens, if I call “Inbound for landing.”.
Tower says: “Devert to Chongju.” Really, this I understood correct, Chongju. And I just started from Chongju.

The direction I shall fly is absolut the direction (back) to Chongju Airbase, also the distance is correct (3 miles, 5 miles because juast started). Also TACAN channel, 42 XRay.

But why do not take me the tower for instructions? Why is the tower meaning I shall devert?

Well since you have correct the CampID of Chongju airbase (confirmed) into the “stations+ils.dat” file, as also since it is a unique, and in mind that you don’t edit data of the “stations+ils.dat” file, then I say that the issue is not there means into “stations+ils.dat” file.
Somewhere into the DB actions probably with the CT/OCD… Guessing, I’m not a DB guru

It has always had this issue (many iterations EXCEPT AlliedFarce), maybe the BMS DBase Guru will fix it in an upcoming release ?? If not, maybe I will take a Falcon moment and fix it once and for all or maybe Cloud 9……??? He knows.
Then submit it to the BMS team for approval…sigh!

So what exactly is the issue with this.

I’ve read over the stuff that Earlybite has posted about his work on an airbase.

To tell you the truth, I can’t make heads nor tails of it due to the fact he has like 58 threads going on all over the place, so I stopped keeping track of it.

To much confusion. Which goes on all the time in the Theater forum, with releases, then update, then new version, then update, etc., etc……AND separate threads for each. WTHeck!!!
