Theater developmental notes switch everything under data w/TDF
-
Particle.sys is not per theater.
-
Ok So thats one shot down. PSys mods will all ways be backup file or f4patch. I was told this before by Arty and then i checked out the Psys mod he made in a patch. Its just recently i was told everything under data is switchable. Tacref.bin is sitting there next to Psys so i hope its not the same case with that.
Has anyone out there ever set up the tacref switch? I still havent got it right but im still working on it.
EDit: Its working now

I updated first post to show we finally got a tacrefdir working and a sounddir for ATC and such. and Tom’s Ostsee theater showed me the splashdir that is needed (its not automatically loaded from art folder.)
the Nordic tdf example on post1 will change again if anything new is realized by me.
-
Updated first post again to show how to add costom music (ogg converter was used to change sound files to .ogg)
This nordic example has a slightly strange directory because of double theater feature, but the point is that sound directory is adjusted in art folder.
-
Updated first post for subtitles…
If you adjust airbase names in audio (tlk file) and add-on still reads csv from default kto, you need this line …subtitlesdir Add-on xxx\sounds
And of course you also need your own adjusted csv file in your add-on sounds folder

Looking for correct theater specific switch for “tacRData” folder.
Past process was to add picture’s theater specific address before name in bin file with sky fire.
Now how do we point to correct pictures with this xml file?
The above line in example (that is canceled out with #) is not working.
I guess that is why it’s canceled out… -

Tacrdata directory
TACRDATAdir Add-On Peru\art\TacRData
the <pic name=“”>points to correct pic in Art\TacRData

Your pic was indeed wrong format, but did you get blank like me when trying to read from Peru?
It showed up distorted when I dropped it in kto TacRData folder, then I changed it to 16 bit.
It looks fine. But if I put in Peru TacRData folder, I can’t get it to show at all
. I tried adjusting Tdf line in different ways and art files to read from Peru directly.
No joy so far. -
my test…
if i place your test pic in main BMS Art\TacRData folder, i can see them show up in new theater/tacref page.
if i place test pic new theater\art\tacRData folder, them won’t show up in new theater/tacref page.
Obviously this pointer line is not working… TacRef finds pic in main BMS\art\tacrdata folder.
Tacrdata directory
TACRDATAdir Add-On XXXX\art\TacRData

I concur. This line isn’t working for me either.
The picture’s address used to be able to be linked to terdata/tacref.bin.Now that it’s tacref.xml, I’m not sure what line to add , or even if address of pic can be added.
I made a post on @technical issues thread too.
Haven’t tried Obi1’s Hail Mary shot at adding entire address yet.
But I will try that later or any other suggestions.
