I’ve recently been experimenting between having my TrackIR Vector Z setting set to Z axis control and FOV. In the end, I decided to revert back to my original setting of having it set to Z axis while my mouse wheel controls FOV.

However, ever since I reset this back to how it was originally I’ve had two odd problems. First and most annoyingly, my mouse wheel will no longer rotate knobs within the pit. I do still have the line ‘set g_bMouseWheelKnobs 1’ in the Falcon BMS.cfg’ file. Why won’t it pay attention to it?

Second, a small niggle but everytime I start a mission now, my view start of EXTREMELY zoomed in and I have to use the mouse wheel to get it back to where I want it. This never used to happen. Anyone got any idea what I can do to fix this?

While playing with these settings, I haven’t changed anything else in my configuration so I’ve no idea why it’s behaving differently to how it used to. Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

maybe delete axismapping.dat & joystick.cal in config folder and reset all axis in UI will work.
and by the way set fov to left hotas axis will work better.

I am also experiencing an issue with my mouse no longer rotating knobs. The BMS.cfg file is set to “g_bMouseWheelKnobs 1”. Is anyone aware of a solution other than doing a reinstall or deleting axismapping.dat and joystick.cal and resetting all axis? My OS is Windows 10 and I’m using DonLDnk’s profile for the TM Warthog.

I am having the same problem as well. And same with Spirit, I had it at first but after all of my messing around with the system has disabled that capability. Vital if you want to be changing the HDG/CRS/ALT knobs. Please let me know if anyone has a fix for this. Thanks.

UPDATE: I did get it to work. What worked for me was putting both FOV and view zoom to keyboard.

I also suffer from this. Is this posted in the troubleshooting section. Been searching for a workaround as i wish to have FOV and wheel knobs set to mousewheel.

Was there ever a solution to this issue? Ideally id like to use the mouse button to both zoom external view and turn knobs in the cockpit - thanks
