      I binded my slewing to my HAT switch, and have my zoom in/out and fov on the joystick, making using TGP quite easy to find targets.
      But I’ve had one serious problem with that since start and it really got more and more annoying as I cant find a solution.

      PROBLEM: When I move HAT switch up,down,left,right it slews whatever MFD I have selected and that is perfect.
      But if I accidently move it up-left,up-right,down-left,down-right IT MOVES MY VIEW!
      So here I am flying 600mph to my target, about to lock it up on the radar, when I accidently press the wrong direction and start staring at my crotch or snap my neck up and stare at the sky!

      QUESTION: Is there a way to UNBIND view function (panning?) from the HAT switch, ingame or outside (config edit, profile etc…) because its really getting annoying.
      (was considering just slewing with keyboard and putting TMS/DMS on the HAT switch, but would most deff face the same problem of twisting my head like possessed by the devil in the wrong moments)
      😕

        You have to specifically map the 1,3,5,7 positions of the HAT switch to something, or else it will default to view panning in those directions. Try mapping them to SimNoAction (I think that is the name).

        Hope this helps.

          Hi!

          I started with the extreme 3d pro too, to solve your problem, download and install the logitech software, define your hat in there, leave the diagonals undefined.

          search your joystick on the logitech site and look for a download where it says “logitech gaming software”.

          cheers,
          Scub

          Cheers,

            This.
            Find your .key file and find the hat section of the joystick (usually at the bottom), and change what might look like

            SimTMSUp 0 -1 -3 0 0x0 0
            SimTMSRight 0 -1 -3 2 0x0 0
            SimTMSDown 0 -1 -3 4 0x0 0
            SimTMSLeft 0 -1 -3 6 0x0 0

            ```(Not with TMS, obviously, as this is from my file)
            to something like
            SimTMSUp 0 -1 -3 0 0x0 0
            SimDoNothing 0 -1 -3 1 0x0 0
            SimTMSRight 0 -1 -3 2 0x0 0
            SimDoNothing 0 -1 -3 3 0x0 0
            SimTMSDown 0 -1 -3 4 0x0 0
            SimDoNothing 0 -1 -3 5 0x0 0
            SimTMSLeft 0 -1 -3 6 0x0 0
            SimDoNothing 0 -1 -3 7 0x0 0
              Thanks a lot, to all 3 of you, it worked!
              I left the “logitech gaming software” fix as a backup (as I dont want to have to turn it on every time, or revert the fix when I want to play DCS/TKOH/WarThunder)
              Decided to edit the .key file with a notepad++.
              Added
              SimDoNothing 0 -1 -3 1 0x0 0
              SimDoNothing 0 -1 -3 3 0x0 0
              SimDoNothing 0 -1 -3 5 0x0 0
              SimDoNothing 0 -1 -3 7 0x0 0
              ```to the bottom of the .key file, and it actually worked!
              Problem solved!

              (if anyone in the future has this problem, just add above code to your saved controls in a .key file inside user/config/ folder in your BMS installation, cheers!)

                Does this still work? I only just started learning BMS a month or 2 ago and there is no such .key file in the user/config folder since 4.33 released. So much of the keymap system in game has been redesigned and I feel back to square one in trying to figure out the best way to setup my joystick. I will eventually get it working again but just looking at that keymap setup window and scrolling through all of those commands is frustrating.
