Falcon, Smart TV and internet
-
I need some advice. I’m planning on installing smart TV at home. Basically, it’s cable which connects to router and uses internet via it. I’m worried that it may interrupt my Flacon online flying, since from what I understand BMS is very sensitive for collateral traffic.
Do anyone has some experience or advice on this matter?
Thank you!

depends on your Bandwidth for example I have two teenagers
one plays on his PS online with his mates
the other well she watches Netflix on her laptopnot to mention the time online for home work apps etc, etc and I don’t see many problems if at all
ohh and I have the 200/12 uk sucks for upload speed the Gov say its because of pirating concerns bahhhh

i use a smart tv as a main monitor… and we have 4 of them total in the house here. couple that with about 9 android devices 5 laptops. and 2 desktop pc’s
falcon in multiplayer hardly has any issues for me, as Ninja said it’s mostly a bandwidth issue. so you don’t want your internet connection saturated while you are flying.
your smart tv, unless the CIA is monitoring (lol
) is not using your internet untill you actively tell it to by using the youtube or netflix ap on it or tell it to update… basicly you are still in control over which devices uses the internet when…

You can setup firewall rules in your router blocking other traffic except your flight pc.
200/12? Pfff, stop whining, i have 8/0,7 here. And NO, i’m not living somewhere in an remote austria alps valley

Some routers do also provide QOS (Quality of Service) functionality;
It allows you to give priority to communications on specific protocols/ports/ips, this way you don’t have to limit your Smart TV if not necessary.
However QOS is highly depending on implementation too, and I guess on cheaper hardware it might have less impact (more a placebo effect).
