Don’t know if this is related, but occasionally I enter the 'pit to see a flashing runway texture and both the HUD and MFDs are gone. It can also happen in-flight while using external views to look at other aircraft, etc. Come back to the 'pit and MFDs and HUD are gone. A restart fixes it, and sometimes alt-tab, then back in does as well. Clearly a video issue for me.

Don’t know at the mo which driver I am using, but the video card is a GTX 1070.

ALT AND TAB, then go back into sim they should re appear, search forum there are a few posts about it. Also check your settings in nvidea control panel, Again there a lot of posts on forum which relate to settings for your card

In my case I did search (don’t want to completely hi-jack the OP’s thread, but perhaps we are dealing with the same issue), but I guess I don’t know exactly which search terms will net me the best results. If you know of any threads with fixes for this I’d like to see them.

I would check my settings of course, but at this stage I can’t know what causes it or which settings would eliminate it.

Here is an easy quick fix.
                            Uninstall and reinstall.
If u still have trouble erase your falcon dowload . Redownload to be sure and start over.
Use an administrator account and turn off antivirus while installing.

What would that do other than restore the current situation? Let’s make a reinstall the plan B 🙂 If it’s because of a suspected corrupt download I think it’s unlilkely.

I think it’s a rendering issue and perhaps can be fixed with different video settings or an alternative driver? The fact that alt-tab corrects it makes me believe it is.

Yeah, I had the same issue. It happen quite often after view outside or view weapon to target then get back to the pit. I have tried to test several graphic settings (in game graphic setting and Nvidia graphic setting outside the game) but the issue still remains.

Thanks. FWIW, I disabled engine heat blur as a test and it has not happened since. That is a hollow conclusion though since it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s related in anyway, but it’s the first ‘tweak’ I tried. It also doesn’t make much sense when losing MFD and HUD in cockpit view since that isn’t drawn, but is when viewing external cameras. But still, it hasn’t happened since! 🙂

I would really like to pinpoint it though because even though it’s not too difficult to correct, it’s troublesome in MP when I can’t pause to alt-tab.

OK thanks, I’ll give it a try. The issue will likely happen the most after viewing explosions at enemy assets (fighter, tank…) and jumping back to cockpit…

Good luck, but I mentioned it more as a joke because of my feeble attempts to fix it. I really don’t think that is a fix.

Hello DBond, I tried and it really work! thanks for your tip. I recalled I didn’t get this issue with previous updates of BMS because I always turn engine heat blur OFF before!

go to Desktop, don´t quite the game (ALT + TAB ) and then go back into the game again (ALT+TAB). Now should HUD and MFD´s be back 😉
