Laser permanently lasing after short manual lase
-
Sorry to hijack the thread, but when tutorials mention to laser range a targer for a more accurate measurement, I’m assuming it literally means to blip the manual laser?
EDIT: Not sure how I missed it previously, but I was right
@BMS:
The range to the ground stabilised TGP cursor is preceded by a mnemonic indicating the sensor that
is ranging. T indicates that the TGP is passively ranging, L indicates the laser is ranging. To range the
target with the laser depress the first stage trigger to manually fire the laser. Besides giving more
accurate ranging, firing the laser checks correct laser operation before bomb release and ensures that
the target is not obscured by clouds for instance. -
Yes, I noticed this too - is it possible the BTN6 is getting “stuck on” in the code somehow? That would explain permanent lasing, i.e. if the button was never seen to be released again.
That’s correct - when I hit the trigger (full press to activate both stages) the laser starts firing, and I release the trigger, it continues.
Don’t do that bolded part. Manual lasing is just the first detent. The second detent is for another function which I don’t think is fully fleshed out in BMS.

Done! Even better, the laser only fires for as long as I hold the first stage?! Strange, but happy I seem to have resolution now! Thanks Frederf!

Perhaps this helps: Keyfilemanual page 46. 11.2 STUCK KEY: This issue has been seen quite often in the forum. A stuck key issue appears when you are using shifted functions. In this case it doesn’t matter if you are using the shifted function with your keyboard (key with modifier/s) or with your DX input device (Pinky Shift with DX button). A popular example is the TRIM function. The reason for a stuck key is a mishandling of the key press sequence. Here is the way how to do it properly: 1. Press and hold modifier key (keyboard) / Pinky switch (DX Shift) 2. Press keyboard key / DX button and hold it 3. Continue holding both (1 & 2) as long as desired 4. Release keyboard key / DX button 5. Release modifier key (keyboard) / Pinky switch (DX Shift) If you release #4 & #5 in the wrong order the key(s) / function will most likely stuck. To prevent this either use the correct order stated above or try to avoid using shifted functions.

i have this problem on Balkan theatre, i’m using TH Cougar and laser is on first trigger detent not shifted.
As soon as i release the GBU the laser beam is switched on. It doesn’t wait the time inserted in DED.
