No AB Detent On Your Throttle? How I Made One for Nickel.

Hi All:

I have the Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle and it does not have an AB Detent. So what I did was:

1. Take an Acco fastener.

2. Fold the “wings” making sure that one end was rounded at the corner making for approximately a 1/4" bump.

3. Then I took a strip of black Gorilla tape and simply taped the Acco fastener to the base of the throttle and parallel to the throttle axis.

The throttle handle runs into the bump and that’s where you set your AB to.

Then I went back and simply adjusted the bump to the height and shape that felt right for me. Retaped the fastener to the base. Done.

No more accidentally burning up fuel!

I don’t get the reference but Frugal is as Frugal does. But I do see where I messed up the title. Should say “a Nickel”.
