F-15 EAGLE Project

Hi everybody
I’ve decided not to paint the aircraft anymore. Therefore I started to repaint the flying tennis court. :rolleyes:
Do not worry, I’m joking.
I started the F-15C Eagle and F-15E Strike Eagle development project. ( F-15’s unofficial name is Flying Tennis Court)
In this context I started to repaint the BMS’s default F-15C cockpit and TomCatz’s wonderfull F-15 models. (TomCatz has released F-15s at Ostsee Theater.)
First I started to prepare the cockpit.
The default cockpit of the F-15C is already in very good condition. I just add small details, new shadows, new colors. I hope the BMS team will make a detailed F-15 cockpit as well as the F-16 cockpit one day. I think it deserves it at F-15 after F-18 and F-16.
I use real photos as much as possible to make the new details.
I will share developments in the project from time to time. You can follow the developments in the project from this topic.

Are the the moving parts of Tom Catz model animated? In case they are not I rather stick to current 3D models, they are fine.
Their only problem both F-15A/B/C/D and E uses the same drop tanks with bad skin. I have the good skins but in DB is only one common drop tank. This is quite strange because Tornados have such drop tanks which follows the skin selection. I offered years ago the skin for BMS but never was implemented.
You can see the difference at 3:15.
Except mirrors what did you changed in cockpit?

In the cockpit the areas that I have changed are shown in the picture below. The project is still in its infancy. :rolleyes:

The actual changes will be in Tom’s F-15 models. I plan to share the first images soon.
I am arguing that: It will be nicer than DCS’s F-15C. You can be sure.

You are right.
But, the DCS F15C does not have a clickable cockpit. Unless it’s clickable, I think whether it is texture or 3D model does not matter. It’s all just visuals.

I know very well which cockpit looking nicer (of course DCS), but while it is not clickable, for me it is not ok.
On other side BMS is clickable, but not 3D. So both of them have positive and negative side.But anyway Big Thanks to Burak for great work

Random question that’s a bit off-topic, but how exactly does the radar display at the top left fit into place in the actual cockpit? Is the unit deeply recessed into the instrument panel, or is the CRT… strangely shaped? I’ve always been a bit perplexed at that display set-up.

Epic cockpit but what do you mean ‘IF they made it interactive’? You’re telling me that you basically have a RL pit and you still have to use keyboard shortcuts for everything?

What new skin is required for F-15?
This is core F-15C BMS4, I just used a different drop tank skin. Yes, not all skins looks so good but IMHO this is wonderful in BMS4.33.
This is Tom Catz’s 3D model with not the original skin. Only problem this 3D model was not fully animated, but what better skin is possible than this? Even the weathering is fantastic which is mostly looked very poor on Tom original skills.

Yep unfortunately the F-15C is not a clickable pit…Hopefully one day.

In the BMS 4.33 the default F-15C cockpit is very nice and wonderful. Just like the truth. I love flying in this cockpit. I think we owe a lot thanks to the person who prepares this cockpit.
My only goal is to make the default cockpit even more beautiful.
