Hi all, I am working my way through my first RAMP start and have become stuck.
I can’t find out how to close the canopy. There is a yellow lever on the left of the cockpit but I can’t move this with the mouse.
Also, on the right console there appears to be a lever with what looks like a foot pad on the top. This lever is obscuring part of the panel. Again I can’t move this.
I can’t progress past para 7 “Air Con Panel”. I assume this is because the canopy is open.
I have printed the keyboard layout, but some items I can’t find.
Is there a list of the abbreviations used Falcon BMS? Some I can guess but most are beyond me.
I would appreciate any help offered.

        CTRL C for Canopy toggle.

The yellow “spider” is the cover of the button. If you look on the underside of the cockpit there is a white greyish button. Click on that (or Ctrl C).

The Air Con is obscured under the arm rest. In the 3-D mode (i.e. hit 3) then the mouse will “see through” the arm rest (the mouse shows that there is something you can rotate), and you can click once. Or go to “snap view” i.e. 2 and then you will be able to see it.

C9 is correct, and if you move your mouse a bit outboard from the yellow handle you will see the mouse cursor change, that’s the canopy switch. Clicking it will close the canopy and turn the yellow handle outboard.
The lever on the right side is in fact the armrest. It blocks the view of the airsource switch on the airconditioning panel. Move your mouse over it and you will see the cursor change again. So you can move the switch without you seeing it. If you have head tracking, you can look over the armrest and see the switch.

Don’t feel bad Dave. This one got me too, until I watched a ramp start tutorial video.

Many thanks, rmax. Since I can’t see the switch I’ll assume that right clicking turns the switch ACW to a stop, then left click once to set to Norm.

I believe if you hold down middle mouse button (aka press down the wheel on your mouse) and drag you can move the viewpoint so you can look around the armrest. And I think it’s just 1 left click to get it in norm.

In the snap 3d view (2), you can use the Shift Num keys to pan the pit (default keystrokes). Actually just saw the switch mentioned by the OP this afternoon using this… armrest was out of the way… and like tomcat said, you can click and hold the mousewheel and move your POV
