I am looking for a profile that models the F-16 stick exactly, that allows fov zooming, will work with track ir, thrustmaster pedals, and thrustmaster mfds, and that does not disappear! All these profiles I see look great, I just don’t know which one will fit my needs the best.

      Any help?

I’m using Morphine’s… but modified slightly for my own needs.

So you want it exactly, but not too exactly ?

The stick is easily programed as it should be, but the throttle will always be a compromise.

Its not hard to set it up yourself. Read the manual.

Shadow, can’t I be lazy and not read the manual? 😄

Oh, and for wanting it exactly and not too exactly, you are exactly correct!!!

Seriously I want it as close as possible to the real thing, but I do understand that the throttles in the A-10 and F-16 are totally different. I’m just trying to figure out which profile to try first. I hope to not have to go through a bunch of profiles, or God forbid, read the manual! Yikes!

                  Vandal, no worries.

In my profile, I assigned Comm with functions to Coolie hat as the switch locates a similar position to that of F-16. Using index finger to push 4-way hat switch located at a reverse side of the throttle, isn’t it similar feeling though both COUGAR and WARTHOG are different throttles?

SPD BRK and OVERRIDE functions are also assigned to SPD BRK and Boat Witch because they use same type toggle switches, they are ON-OFF- <on>and ON-OFF-ON. They also operated by the thumb. I think most of the Warthog profile do same things.

Some ask for FOV zooming but I believe FalconBMS is only a flight simulator that provides realistic visibility without zooming FOV if enabled smart scaling.
Following is my calculation how fineness RL F-16 side would be seen and how F-16 in the sim could be seen. Still WIP and might have errors but enough to understand the idea.
As 20/20 eye vision defines 1 minutes(1/60 degree) of the angle, I assumed 1 minutes = 1 pixel and compared F-16 drawn size in the sim.

I am preparing texts and screenshots now to describe more detail for my blog posts.</on>

If you want it exact, you are gonna be buying a Cougar throttle at the least. Plugging a cougar into BMS in unprogrammed mode, the default keyfile IS the exact profile for the real thing - although you need to switch the POV hat to be trim, IIRC.

                          Blu3wolf,

I may do that, but I do like all the extra toggles and switches on the Warthog throttle. I’m using Rybo’s profile, and its great. He helped me to get the pedals to work, and wow, what a hotas. What an upgrade from the X52, which I really liked.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I’m having a blast.
