How to Select Another Role/Aircraft??

Hello Guys!
I was planning on playing the Carrier Takeoff Mission available in the “training” tab of TE
I “Commit”, and I see that i can only fly as the AEW&C E-2, and not as the F/A-18s. I Select the Hornet on the right, but I still spawn in an E-2.
How exactly do I change the role or aircraft here?
Any help would be massively appreciated!

when you click on the hornet in the top list window you will see how many A/c are in that flight at the bottom click on one of these
and you should see your callsign appear for that A/c

Then click commit and you should spawn in that hornet

Just a guess but you need to click on the aircraft so your named pilot before commit.
