      Hello,

I try to setup my x55 rhino HOTAS but I have some problems when I try to bind the axes to for example the rudder. I tried to install this keyfile to see if this works but it didnt. In the controls UI I can move the stick and I also can see it moving on the screen but in the advanced menu I cannot assign the x-Axes to the Rudder Axes. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I havent found a solution until now. I have done 2 short clips where I try to show you what I mean. I hope you can understand it better then.

Just off of the top of my head, I think the X axis is for roll control, the Y axis is for pitch control, and the Z axis is yaw control.

[Edit] - I just had a gander at the clips. It appears you have selected the correct option to control the rudder via the joystick. Whenever I make a change in the advanced section, I click ‘OK,’ then click ‘APPLY,’ and finally I ‘SAVE’ it. You can also test it in the SETUP | CONTROLLERS page by twisting your joystick and watching the rudder ‘slide’ gauge.

My key has nothing to do with the BMS axis so loading this key makes no difference. Slangner is right about the axis and for your comfort there is a legend in the key directory of my keyfile.

First verify your drivers to be functional in windows. Under X55 properties move the axis around and check them all.
Second in BMS choose under controller the X55 stick for assigning all of the axis. Do not choose the X55 throttle here as that will pork things up.

Sometimes a fresh install is quicker then trying to sort things out if you really keep stuck.

Since this morning I have a problem.
Yesterday I unplugged my rudders, and today I started the sim without them. Loaded a mission and then realized they were unplugged.
            Quitted.
            Replugged them.
            Restarted the sim

Now every axis is not what it was, and if I change them, as soon as I close the menu window it goes back to what they were.
So now my throttles are my stick axis, my stick rudder is assign, and nothing on my rudders works.
            very strange.

I click ‘‘apply’’ than I saved but it revert back anyway
            Help would be very appreciated

Just make sure that in SETUP/CONTROLLERS you X55 stick is selected in the Controllers window.

This last comment is fundamental - I’ve just spent hours over the last few weeks trying to get my X55 Throttle to work, just because selecting the right controller at the setup screen seems to be the right thing to do. Run setup with the Stick and it works! Obvious, really (?).
