How efective is Jammer in 4.331 ?
-
What I see is the missile losing guidance right as the MiG-29 gimbals out, I don’t think it was incorrect behavior.

I see two things, the missile first seems to be “uncertain”, and then it seems to drop. I suppose the moment where it looks uncertain fits with the moment it becomes an “lock orphan”. Then it keeps turning left, as if it followed my course a bit, then drops. I don’t know what that last part is. I’m telling you this, because I watched way closer on Tacview again.

I think it was corrected. The symbology HOJ doesn’t exist anymore ;).
It was corrected in 4.32.4, back in December 2012.
The HOJ symbology was corrected. The ability to tell when your own missile has gone HOJ has not been corrected. You just cannot use the big flashing HOJ symbology to do it.
Next time you fly against a human, pay close attention to the missile timers. Remember from the dash that the missile timers are based on assumptions made by the FCR, not the missile. Then question why it might switch from an A or M timer to a T timer with over 70 seconds to T…
You see the T, you can drop the lock and go out, secure in the knowledge your missile just went HOJ. And in BMS, them switching their jammer “off” wont do anything to change that.

That’s a different problem, well, in fact is even more a code compromise. I-Hawk could explain it better I guess ;).
