        Hi!

It does not exist… there is no roll autotrims on F-16.

But … if you want, by selecting Flight Model : Moderate, Simplified or Easy you will have no more trims issues.

Forget it , trimming requested is depdnant on speed

Best to programm your thumb as in real

Or use moderate flight model if you dont want to get the full.f16 experience

Or drop your weapons in pairs, no more imbalance 😉

Dropping in pairs is a very good suggestion. However, if you are trying to maximize damage in the area, you may want to go single.

I go with singles and deal with the trim monster. IRL if it is a bomb/CBU etc. they get dropped in pairs so no trim issues for them unless they are carrying Mavs or some other assymetrical loadout. Last month when I was back around Luke AFB I went and asked one of the weapons guys there about how the SMS works in single release/dogfight/missile override/then back to single release how the aircraft would handle it and he didn’t know. Because they don’t operate like that IRL.

I find trimming impossibly hard on my Cougar using Dunc_DX’s profile (pinky-shift and the coolie hat). When I try to apply a little bit of roll trim, nothing happens; when I hold the button or apply more “trimming impulses” by pushing the button, it works a little bit, but as soon as I align the jet horizontally and release the x axis, the jet instantly veers to the direction of the trim, making it very hard to find a good balance.

If this is realistic behaviour I can understand why nobody drops single ordnance IRL as you’re already quite busy with other issues when flying your attack 😉

Would it help to remove the pinky shift? Now that I’m using head-tracking I don’t really use the coolie hat for much anymore.

                    Cheers, Uwe

I also use a base Dunc_DX profile, but changed the trim function. Now i don’t have to use the pinkyswitch, because I use TrackIR to look arround. I find trimming much more usable when i don’t have to pinky-shift.
