F-16CM-52 JanHas Model Custom "Arctic Orca" Skin

My first skin using JanHas F-16CM-52 Model, I was pleased with how it came out and wished to share it. Community response will dictate whether I continue to create/share new non-conventional skins like this one. This being one of my first posts, let me start off by saying a big thanks to the BMS Team for developing such a great sim. Thanks to JanHas and their amazing models and skins, without which I wouldn’t have been able to do this, and possible future skins. And Finally, thanks to the entire community for still bringing fresh content and playing the game with such dedication. That being said, this is my “Arctic Orca” skin designed to disappear when looked at from below and also disappear over waters due to it’s strategic color scheme, while still looking good to the eye when it is visible.

Welcome to the forum! It’s a quite unconventional skin and some people prefer realistic skins. But skins, models, etc. are all subject to personal taste. Speaking for myself I create the skins and models because I like building them. I do not consider myself a slave that only works to please other people. If someone likes my work and want to use it I consider it as a bonus. The moment I don’t like it anymore I stop and find something new to spend my time on. Don’t be discouraged if someone does not like it. You probably liked creating the skin, I would consider that time well spend! Looking forward to see more unconventional skins!

IMHO that’s the way to start, you build your first skin and you’ll love it. Then you’ll go for the next one and you see the progress coming.
I remember when I first joined the community 4 years ago, I tried to make some red lighting for the cockpit panels (which I thought they were pretty good :D) and I got bitch slapped all over :D:D:D
Now, I’m honored to be part of a great team that’s building a huge new theater with photoreal airbases and lots of new stuff all over the place which, hopefully, the community will enjoy it as much as we’re enjoying making it.
So go for it! I’m sure we’ll be seeing some goodies from you in the future

Yeah Jan and Nuno I’m with you, after many skins I produced for both IL2 BOS and DCS (under the tag Viperrm64), I found that only historic skins were warmly accepted and fictional ones(did a few SU-27’s for DCS), were not so popular. What people forget is all the time and effort that goes into repaints whether historic or fictional so keep churning them out Oneness as the more you produce the better you will get and although this F-16 skin is not my personal taste I appreciate the hard work that went into it. GOOD FOR YOU.

Part of the fun of skinning is for your own enjoyment, What other people think of your work doesnt matter mate, I still have a blast flyin round in my “what if” aircraft…
If you lose the fun part it becomes a chore…
Your skin is not my taste, But some people will love it…But all that matters is you love it
