Hi, I’ve searched around for answers and it looks like some folks have Free/G-sync working with Falcon, but I can’t seem to find anyone’s settings.

I’ve confirmed Freesync works in other games, and I’ve narrowed in on the problem being that in Falcon, when you pick a screen res (e.g. 2160x1440 120Hz) it forces the monitor to use the selected framerate, rather than allow Freesync.

I’ve confirmed because with Vertical Sync turned off (inside BMS graphics setup), my monitor OSD will show the fixed framerate (120Hz, for example), while the in-game fps counter typically reads 80-90, and there’s tons of screen tearing. Clearly, Freesync isn’t working for me. Vertical Sync eliminates the screen tearing but my monitor framerate still isn’t matching the in-game.

I’m using an R9 Fury, latest firmware, and a Pixio PX277 monitor.

      Any help greatly appreciated!

        Make sure monitor htz set.
R9 should show freesync on and all htz settings set on.also set fps limiter to your fps desired.
Then u should see those settings available in bms.
Not worded right but not on puter.
        Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply, but not quite clear on what you’re referring to. The Radeon settings definitely show FreeSync on, and the monitor Hz will match in-game Hz for other games. It’s just in Falcon the monitor Hz are fixed to whatever the Hz setting is in Falcon Setup > Graphics.

What settings are you referring to as ‘available in bms’?

            Sorry. Not on puter.
In radeon game settings .the program shows freesync on or off.
Their is also a place to show all available htz settings.
I also set my fps limiter to my monitor htz. In graphics program.
So everything, monitor, graphics and bms all show same htz.
If all that is right then im at a loss too.
Sorry just cant think of right terminology.
Gotta be something simple were overlooking.

Maybe you should try to run the game in window mode : edit shortcut and ad -window to the target (….Launcher.exe" -window) - then in “cockpit display extraction” select “main” and uncheck “borders”. It helped me for Vsync really working, maybe nothing to do with your problem…
