Annoying noob questions about the super hornet and such and such
sorry ahead of time.
I loaded up a hornet once and I coulda swore it had an HST loaded up, but I can’t find any hornets with an HST at all. The DED on the super hornet never displays, and when it does the text is cut in half, My HUD looks squished, mavericks miss 80% of the time- when I go to fly a super hornet, e or f, they an/asq-88, the targeting pod thing, it’s never available for the super hornet in load-out. i tried to move the squad to their own airbase to protect the inventory and it didn’t change anything. I tried in a D at the same airbase and they were available. bug?
sometimes when i load up there is no data link cont and asgn button on the fcr. I really like the hornet, the super hornet can carry 16 slammers and 8 aim-7’s. i added tankers and gave egypt mig 25’s and 29’s and su-27’s so it’s more interesting. I ran a 2 ship sweep we refueled 6 times and Winchester. Every missile was a kill, no misses.
If anyone can help me out I really have some frustration, why can’t I add the TGP to the super hornet? which hornet if any has the built in HTS. I also have a question about anti radiation missiles-
which block can carry the most ? i’ve seen dudes carrying 4 but every block I’ve gone into, and I’m almost positive I’ve checked them all can only carry 2 but I saw Krause and others carrying 4 and I really like killing mobile sams.

No HTS pod to load on the Hornet. POS/HAS modes only.
E/F have no model/flight model improvements. Affects HUD, DED, etc. …. assuming you’ve turned the ‘DED’ on.
Mavericks are hard/harder to use for everyone. Not just in Hornets.
TGP is something like “AT/FLIR” pod.
Might find some help in manuals and on YouTube.

The DED just doesn’t display- I’m not a fledgling without a brain. I read everything, and watched all the 4.32 . The DED text warps to the wrong fields and is cut in half- I just put it in the hud, annoys me still because sometimesit displays as intended.
I figured out the atflir- the inventory registrar is set to zero for the super hornets in all theatres, so if you want t you need to edit registrar no. 102 in the editor to increase the squad stores then resupply the squad.
As far as the Mavericks are concerned I’ve actually talked with that another player and I’m lucky enough to know I retired pilot so he showed me some stuff if you’re having problems with the Mavs you might want to research a system technique called dry boring which is not modeled but you can do a rudimentary version of on the ground that makes Mavs much easier and much quicker to employ both vis and preB.

the DED display for super bugs is an issue not fixed yet. putting it on hud is what i do also. the regular hornets display DED. I am running bms on U2(on my laptop) though so I dont know about updates to U3. in the DB im working with this pit is replaced and DED is still an issue with super hornets. it looks like it needs to be scooted over to the left quite a bit on my display.

The Supper Hornet is not ready for human use, it has not been worked on, and may never be.
The A/C/D is 75% done.

In time, the E/F models will be more up to date I believe. Remember, the Devs have a huge list to work on. Getting other a/c up to date will take some time. For now, fly the C. Enjoy.

It’s not been mentioned, but the DED on/brightness button is not modeled in cockpit, or rather it doesn’t work.
Use the keyboard callback “Pri DED…cycle” (Sorry, working off memory), not at home. I have that callback set to shift+alt+z. Using the callback once brings it up on dim, 2 for bright.
F, don’t get too frustrated, and give the C a chance. It’s actually well modeled(IMHO) . It also carries more Slammers then the Viper, at least!

…hopefully, the “DED” in the Hornet will eventually disappear…because they don’t have one.
