HOW TO INSTALL THE HOTAS COUGAR FIRMWARE / SOFTWARE ON WINDOWS 7, 64 BIT
-
Hi all
I have always kept a copy of this link backed up, very well set out instructions for firmware and driver install for the cougar.
You will need the 2007 HCO_vista_64_rc1 driver and not the 2004 one.Hope this helps some people out of a jam.

Hi all,
Just bought a new gaming rig for my daughter (and myself of course :)) and was pleasantly surprised to find out that BMS is still upgrading the original Falcon 4.0; so I got my old Cougar out (sn 08661) and hooked it up. I followed exactly the setup described on the DCS forum https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=181049 and loaded the BMS TM Cougar (Dunc_DX) files.
It just works 100%…

Hello pilots. I’m new to Falcon BMS. I have a Thrustmaster Cougar Hotas. How do I ket the buttons on the controller to work as intended in the software. Please help! Is there a key file that will work?

Welcome to BMS! Many key files are available, check your bms documentation folder, you should find a directory named “Key files and input” or similar.
I’d advise against using TARGET, use DX-only programming and you’ll be the happier for it in the later stages of your BMS career
All the best,
Uwe
