Not sure this is the right place for this, but I’m having an issue with binding. Sometimes dx signals that alt launcher will list at the bottom in the key bind page will not be seen in the bind menu. In this case it is my ww f16 stick, the paddle switch switches from 7 to 8 when pressed in. 8 shows attention bottom of alt launcher, but 8 will not bind. Is there a way to bind using bms and have alt launcher not override it again? Or some other workaround? I might just set it to 7 release to get
the same effect. Slt launcher has this issue with toggle switches too sometimes, although with persistence they will work.

@Snake122 it appears you can have over 4 devices if some are only axes at least. In my case pedals.

RE: BMS 4.36 DEV SERIES - EXTERNAL LIGHT SYSTEM
Will this change how fence in might work? Meaning will covert lights be left on in some situations to aid in flight formation?

RE: HARM in POS mode
@Mav-jp so normally if you have a precision point you have a “chance” at hitting if the emitter goes off, but because of the bug it will hit 100%?

@javelin10 strange as the alt launcher site indicates a limit which is the reason for a restriction.

RE: Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher (Easy Setup, Keep Joystick Assignments)
Great update! If I’m understanding correctly I can’t have 5 or more devices now?
I did find one bug(?), when I use the category filter, saving a bind changes it back to “TOP” filter every time.

RE: Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher (Easy Setup, Keep Joystick Assignments)
@Jambo A number of the xml files were corrupt. Deleting them alt launcher will start. Unfortunately there are no maps displayed of any kind anymore, the list is empty, no commands are there.
Edit: looks like a bunch of files got corrupted including falcon bms.cfg, the auto key file, and device sorting.

RE: Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher (Easy Setup, Keep Joystick Assignments)
@chihirobelmo I pushed “launch” today and my computer crashed out to a reboot. After that I can’t start alt launcher anymore, I’m getting errors.
I’m thinking reinstalling might fix this? My xml files probably got zapped. Where are they usually stored? -

Created an issue on GitHub but you can continue here or on Github either one you want.
https://github.com/chihirobelmo/FalconBMS-Alternative-Launcher/issues/55In this case it is my ww f16 stick, the paddle switch switches from 7 to 8 when pressed in.
I’m not sure this part. You mean your F-16 stick deactivate DX7 then activate DX8? What has been activating your DX7 till then? What is your joystick product name, WARTHOG, WINWING or FSSB?
Sorry I abbreviated, it’s the Winwing F-16 ex. DX7 is simply activated until the switch is pressed activating 8 as far as I can tell. So it’s acting a bit like a toggle (except it’s half-virtual).

RE: CCRP and CCIP bombs not releasing….Yes the arming switch is on.
@stevie said in CCRP and CCIP bombs nor releasing….Yes the arming switch is on.:
You need to lock a target for CCIP to work? Never heard this before!
Yes - for it to be accurate…at least in RL you do. As I mentioned, the system has to include height above target in order to solve the bombing triangle, so you don’t have to lock the target, you just need to lock something at the same elevation. But after that, you can use the symbology to bomb whatever you can see.
A trick I learned back when I was working on RL Harriers - very handy.
I’ve had trouble with ccip also, and came across this thread. When you say lock, you are talking an actual tms up lock through fcr or tgp, or will a steerpoint provide the information? I’ve watched a number of pop up bombing examples and they’ve all been off of a steerpoint and ccip, no “lock”.
