Getting a lot closer now. Rogue’s cockpit is properly aligned to my monitor’s upper-left corner and I can move switches by touching, but the cockpit still doesn’t take up the whole 1080p touchscreen. Why not?

Helios help please
Having a heck of a time getting Helios working on my new 1080p touchscreen second monitor. My main monitor is 4K. I’ve made some progress, but am stuck now. I’m using Rogue’s v3 profile, but I have the same issues with Ice’s profile, so I know profiles have nothing to do with it.
It’s two problems, really, though maybe they are connected.
PROBLEM THE FIRST
This takes some explaining. When I start the Helios cockpit on my touchscreen before launching BMS, its behavior is strange. I can manipulate switches and knobs with the mouse no problem, but not by touch. Windows feedback confirms my touches are being detected in the right place, but they aren’t aligned with the cockpit switches. For example, clicking the IFF IDENT button brings up the map. Touching right above LMFD OSB 3 manipulates the heading bug on the HSI. The misalignment is consistent.
I notice in Windows 10 that the touch cursor and mouse cursor are different. Could that be a clue?
I have tried both the Acer driver for my monitor and the default Windows generic touchscreen drivers. It makes no difference.
When I started up Helios for the first time last week, before doing anything else with it, I tried flicking switches by touch and it worked perfectly! So I don’t know how I messed up the alignment.
SECOND
When I launch into the 3D world, the BMS window is misaligned and I can’t move it. Picture below. The pic is cut off on the right side, but you get the idea. How do I get the BMS monitor to fill my 4K screen and not extend beyond it?
I have read Ice’s PSA on Windows 10 Creators Update and Helios, but it seems that subsequent Windows updates have solved that. Many people in forums report Win10 CU + Helios working fine.
The Helios cockpit doesn’t have any impact in the sim, either, but one thing at a time…
I’ve never done any kind of cockpit extraction with BMS (or anything) before. Please help!

RE: Resolution: how high can you go?
Getting 45-60+ fps on an Intell i7 3.4 Ghz, Win7, nVidia 970 GTX 4gb displayed on a 55" curved 4K LED LCD HDR HDTV @3840x2160
Where can I get an awesome ICP like that?

RE: Resolution: how high can you go?
It’s an i7 920. Old. I will definitely update the motherboard as well as the CPU.
I’m sure this is an important clue: reducing resolution from 6084x1080 to 1920x1080 made not a lick of difference to my frame rates. CPU must be to blame, right?
Any thoughts on an upgrade to an i5 6600K? Methinks that’ll do the trick.

RE: Resolution: how high can you go?
Thanks everyone. Some very helpful responses in this thread.
I guess I should provide a little more detail. I currently have triple 1920x1080 in an Eyefinity setup with an R9 290X. With the graphics settings set pretty high, I get very smooth frame rates most of the time. But frame rates drop substantially (i.e too much) when flying over the FLOT or Pyongyang.
If I understand you all correctly, this is because of my CPU rather than GPU. My CPU is pretty old, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. I want to improve the frame rates, and had considered both hardware upgrades or alternatively reducing the screen area.
It looks like the best move is to keep the screen setup I have and to upgrade that CPU. Judging by the comments in this thread, it seems like I should get very good results with the GPU that I have, provided I get the right CPU.
Any additional thoughts?

Resolution: how high can you go?
What’s the highest resolution you could realistically achieve in BMS with high frame rates at all times? What CPU and GPU would it take to achieve it?
Very interested in your opinions. Feel free to include multi-screen setups.

DMS down presses itself
My Cougar HOTAS is sending uncommanded DMS-down keypresses, often swapping the MFD SOI at the most inconvenient times.
I assume the switch is toast. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

RE: Massive FPS Loss
Just to say… Maxed out the trees and no fps drop.
Opposite on my system. BMS 4.32 was around 60fps. BMS 4.33 is nearer 50 fps, but drops to 30 with any kind of trees on. The high res MFDs aren’t troubling my system, though.
