My intent is not to restart the Helios vs. YAME discussion here but does anyone know if the old workaround used for YAME still works in 4.36? That workaround required both 4.33 and 4.34 versions to be installed. I’ve been away awhile, missed 4.35, and just now installing 4.36.

How to add a single line to BMS - Auto keyfile?
I want to add a single line to the BMS - Auto keyfile. How do I achieve this? I’m a pit builder and I just completed all my switch assignments (a two hour process!) using the alternate launcher’s key mapping feature. But now I want to add a single line to the keyfile defining a DX button switching to the off position. Is there a way, short of modifying the original BMS - Full keyfile and then going through the entire key assignment process again? I don’t see how I could modify the BMS - Auto keyfile directly because of its formatting.

RE: Missing XINPUT1_4.dll
Okay, adding “g_bUseXInput 0” to the cfg file didn’t help, but making a copy of xinput1_3.dll and renaming it to xinput1_4.dll did the trick.
Thank you.

OS is Windows 7 64bit. I’ll try adding the line to the config file and report results. Thanks for the help!

Missing XINPUT1_4.dll
I recently updated to the latest BMS (from original 4.37) and now I’m getting a “missing XINPUT1_4.dll” error message when I try to launch BMS. The only possibly related forum post is regarding the addition of Xpad compatibility. That post would indicate the addition of “set g_bUseXInput” (default set to 1) but I don’t see that line in my falcon bms.cfg file.

@CheckPoint, many thanks for the thread link - that solved it! And thank you to @airtex2019 for the original post!

RE: Fullscreen mode using AL
Thank you @airtex2019 . I deleted the file and deselected the Command Line option “Window” from AL and now Fullscreen isn’t being changed back to borderless anymore when I launch from the AL.

Fullscreen mode using AL
I can’t find where to change full screen and resolution settings using the alternative launcher (AL).
I can set the options under the old Setup>Graphics for a lower resolution and full screen mode but the AL overwrites the full screen setting. Am I missing where to make these settings in the AL?
Even if I check the box for “Launch without any setup override” my ‘full screen’ selection is overwritten with ‘borderless’. Deselecting the Window button on the AL doesn’t do anything either.

RE: Axis mapping gets lost in 4.37
Try using AXISASSIGN from the launcher screen. I agree with you, mapping is not saved now, if you use the old method from the Setup>Controller screen.

RE: Trying to add DirectX line to keyfile
@Badger said in Trying to add DirectX line to keyfile:
It won’t show in the controls screen.
Try it in game.Quite right all along Badger!

RE: Trying to add DirectX line to keyfile
@SemlerPDX Thanks for the document link. They must have incorporated that document into the latest BMS technical manual.
@Badger I went back and tested with the -1 and -2 combination but same result. I think I’ve pretty much tried every combination for that field now with same results. No worries, even though the button off callback doesn’t show up in the setup-controller screen when called, at least it is executing in game. It’s just a head scratcher.
