Hello, the url don’t work. Anyone know how to download? Thanks
Posts #46 and #49 have links to copies of Fenrir’s v1.03 particlesys.ini
However without the original ONEpsysMOD103.rar we are missing the new Tracer textures.

Till Fenrir finds time, has anyone by any chance, kept the 1.03 package as he downloaded it?

I have the original ONEpsysMOD.rar (and v1.03 particlesys.ini) but v1.02 added/replaced new tracer textures and the v1.03 rapidshare link which included the textures (TracerG.dds and TracerR.dds) is dead.
I’d just setup a local network game with the 2nd computer’s plane either on a safe airstrip (if your planning a long session) or in auto-pilot and then switch the external view to the plane you are flying on the 1st Computer. AFAIK it’s the only way to keep the AI in sync beyond the initial set TE/campaign conditions.
It’s been a while since I have ran this sim but on your profile how do you designate a target on the MFD? I can move the cursor but cannot designate it.
Thanks!
The
) you would use TMS Up .IIRC there used to be an issue with Button Names longer than 16 characters. It is supposed to have been fixed but I don’t take the chance just in case.
Edit:
_Note: I needed to add a USB 2.0 PCI card to my “Dell Vostro 430 i7” desktop because of strange MFD communication errors and poor joystick response (lost calibration, etc.) but I never had a BSOD due to the Saitek. I’d guess my issues were due to Dell’s chipset/USB 3.0 implementation (other USB devices seem ok).
I was ready to return the X52 Pro as broken but “luckily” found the intermittent faults disappeared once plugged into another PC._
Just a report of an “Unhandled Exception” I caused when playing around with WDP
I was checking the Tower Radio settings whilst learning to plan and execute a BLU-107 pop up attack TE.
After clicking “set” for APT channel 15 for UHF and then VHF - I clicked the “use” button below. Selecting “Continue” in the exception dialog - WDP continues to work so it’s probably just something missed by WDP’s error check and is a minor fault.
Edit: I’m guessing the TCN “use” button is supposed to be unselect able when there isn’t a TNC at the airport like the ILS buttons
I had thought about making some new tutorials or remaking old ones but there just isn’t ademand or viewership for them considering the time investment required.
Surprising, your BMS tutorials are saved to my HD just like
were.Crappy videos of me flying the campaign used to net 2000+ views, now my editing quality is professional and I rarely get a 1/4th of the views I used to get. I’m not a views whore but i’m not going to spend hundreds of hours on something if it’s not going to be viewed by more than a handful of people.
Probably diluted by the ever increasing number of BMS videos and the fact BMS isn’t new anymore.
I guess using WDP/attack profiles would be an intermediate level tutorial (not essential knowledge like CCIP, etc.) and would have lower views.
One tutorial I really want to do, and something that is on my thoughts, is a video tutorial on planning/organizing packages. Few people can do that succesfully, even experienced fliers, and i’m always the one doing it inmy squadron or if i’m a visitor on another server. It’s pretty easy and I would like to show people how.
Definitely make the videos you want/are interested in. A FRAPs capture and commentary explaining what you are doing and why as you plan packages sounds good. If it goes wrong - the plan will be used anyway and you can try again in another session.
I enjoyed your
and hopefully you didn’t waste to much HD space/time encoding them and adding captions, etc. So please don’t feel you have to do a professional quality video for it to be appreciated (they all are). It’s great you have started to make BMS videos again.
Reading this thread on High Altitude Dive Bombing helped me realise how little I used Weapon Delivery Planner.
But when I came to plan an attack I found I wasn’t sure (or had forgotten) how to select the right attack profile/loadouts so looked for a nice youtube video to remind me.
The best I could find that started from the basics (i.e. what is VRP, PUP, OA, etc.) was an old
.Your
and video’s are great but IIRC don’t cover WPD, VRP, etc. as the focus was on “what/how do I use CCIP”, etc.I know similar questions have been asked before but found the WDP Videos were focused on using WDP and rather assumed you already knew what VRP, etc. was (i.e. had been using the ICP to enter them in, etc.) and didn’t cover my basic what, where, when type questions.
I was thinking a video/TE like this
that used WDP might be interesting and educational. Mentioning when to select profile 1/2 and high/low drag munitions would be good too but I’ve a feeling “correct ordinance/loadouts” would make a video in it’s own right (cue lots of boring talk/loadout screen followed by a clip of exploding munitions or someone running out of fuel lol).Of course if there’s already a good BMS video out there or a good section in a .pdf to re-read - a quick pointer would be good as well.
Edit: I didn’t find a video but Fracas covers the planning and execution basics I’d forgotten in his WDP 2.0 Manual from page 31 on.
Edit 2: And the most basic error I’d made - WDP was defaulting to a callsign (alias) other than the one I was flying. So TE.ini stuff like STPT, Lines, etc. was working but the Callsign.ini stuff like the HUD display of VRP, PUP, etc. wasn’t. I wondered why I’d lost my favourite MFD and EWS settings but hadn’t picked up on it Doh!!
Ok, I’ve got the K-30 BIHO gun animation working by changing the CT Record SubType=1 and Specific=2.
I choose the ZSU23-4 as a template as it fills a similar roll.
If they’re wrong for the K-30 BIHO it at least gives a working starting point.
