Buy 2nd monitor with 1920*1080 or less.
Open “Cockpit Display Extraction” from the launcher and set 2DUI position inside 2nd monitor.
set 3D position to your main 4K monitor.
This will work.
Great Idea!
Have some extra $ lying around for me?

Is there anyway they can patch this in a future update?
I can’t imagine how small it would be if I set my rez to 4K!
While using window mode, you’ll have to settle for the 1024x768 UI size. Sorry, happens to all of us.
Can I not use Window Mode somehow and Just use full screen?
Running 2560x1440 and the main UI screen only displays in the top left corner of my monitor screen taking up only 1/4 of the screen. Using the AL BTW.
Makes it hard to read at that size and position.
Is there anyway to rescale it so it takes more real estate or is non windowed?
Thanks
2 answers for that :
- if you only care about DFGT/MRM, there is a config option for it (Check in the launcher -> configuration tool).
- if you want that in general, check this thread :

Isn’t the config option only able to work if you HOLD and don’t release the mode?
Couldn’t find anything on: Search the technical manual or forums for “0x42”

I’ll try this but not sure how this is supposed to work?
Using the AL to map my Throttle Middle thumb switch so that forward is DF Mode and Back is MRM Mode how do I get the center switch position to register as a Cancel ‘C’ command?
Thanks!
Yes the paddle switch does override AP. And don’t mix up binding Keyboard keys to HOTAS buttons instead of using it the proper way by sending DX command. A DX command for sure is registered as hold as long as a button is pressed
Not sure I understand how to set a DX Command? Is there a tutorial posted somewhere on how to do this for the “HOLD” command?
Is there any way to save the AB/IDLE Throttle Slider Detents in game without having to reset them every time I start the game?
Thanks!
Yes, I made that initial mistake on my new PC (plugging in HOTAS before being asked) so I completely uninstalled the drivers and software and reinstalled using a different USB Port when prompted to plug in the hotas.
Still did not fix the issue and yes I’ve loaded the keyfile in game per instructions…
About half of the stick and throttle functions work the other half have no keys assigned.
I don’t have anything else show up like you do in the files just the single virtual root entry…
Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve tried it it is the only entry I have and half of the HOTAS functions are unmapped in Game.
