Thanks Bli3wolf for the pointers, i wasn’t utilizing my speedbrakes at all on approach. I have tried a few more goes and this helped keeping my AOA between 11 and 14 degrees more manageable, before i was just eye balling it and not using the tools that would probably make things easier. heh. Also, i’ve been landing from the TE RAMP START mission so my F-16 is outfitted with some AIM’s and GBU’s along with 2 370 Gallon tanks attached. Is this making it more difficult for myself? would i normally be landing back at base after a mission with that much weight and whatnot?

RE: New to flightsims - study/training flowchart for BMS?
Basically what these guys have said, i kept loading up the RAMP START TE to get the start-up sequence down solid, now i just start from taxi and take off to work on my landings now. Don’t want to return from a long mission only to crash and burn on the runway because i can’t land it perfect yet lol. Though, i’m slightly improving…i tend to more times than others glide in too hard or too much at an angle that i hit my tail onto the deck, whoops. Practice, Practice, Practice.

Military Aviation Slang
Hey guys, just figured i’d post this up here for anyone not familiar with all the slang aviators use. This has helped me a bunch to “broaden” my vocabulary and also understand terminology better and learn quicker when listening to instructors. A lot of instructors will use these terms to Keep It Simple Short or KISS,lol yea yea. But, there are some here that you probably won’t hear anyone say (unless they got super ace swag status) but a good amount you will. Well anywho, here ya go. https://www.tailhook.net/AVSLANG.htm

RE: Who's doing the best tutorials for 4.33 on youtube?
Well i’v been bouncing back and forth between Chuck Yeager & Krause. For the most part most of what they cover still apply’s but i am sure others might need updating. I have been able to learn how to ramp start, taxi, takeoff and land (sort of) when it comes down to the combat aspects, i start to get lost when they use abbreviated “lingo” that i have no idea what it means.

RE: Once I make an NVIDIA profile for 64bit BMS it will not load anymore.
Could just be because its an old sim. I have tried making profiles for other older sims like Battle of Britain II and Wings Over Fladers Field and they do not seem to like these 3rd party “sprusing up” graphic enhancers. And either crash or freeze at a black screen when the profile is on.

RE: Hello BMS!
Thanks MailMan! Yea, i know how old this sim is and i am no stranger to flight sims, trust me. After watching the 4.33 trailer though it was like, i’ve been missing out man. Time to get back to the Falcon. This should should be a fun venture, time to trade in my GAU-8 Avenger for now.

Hello BMS!
Benchmark Sims, my what a sim you have here. I have dabbled a bit in the past with Falcon and always ended up getting sidetracked to the more update and prettier sims. But this, this recent update has gotten my full attention, and i have been training myself like mad to be a capable combat-ready pilot since the release. Amazing, simply enjoyable (and tough). I am looking forward to knowing you all, my fellow pilots in the future, and hopefully soon i’ll be swapping stories with you guys soon enough about sorties.:D Salute.

RE: 56th VFW actively recruiting
I read that skill doesn’t matter at all. Buuuut, what if you can only start-up, take-off and land only? I’m looking to really get into BMS (finally) and be part of a squadron myself, and have a great time doing it.
